COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An all around refreshing, enjoyable German Style Ale. Nice balance of Malt, Noble Hops and carbonation make for a beer that compliments most foods. The brief aging brings out a delightful subtle spiciness.

@Capitol Beer Fest We had some good kolsch beers and blondes there...this was not one of em. Not accurate for the style, just a generic light yellow beer. Malt and grain, thin palate, Meh.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a slight white head. Mild citrus aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is bready with a good dose of noble and citrus. Stronger flavor than most kolsch ales.

Wasnt impressed with this one. I have tasted 15 or so Kolsch in cologne and I didnt feel this one represented the style. The yeast used gave it a hint to kolsch beer but the malt wasnt on par with the flavor or palate. It was decent drinking just a little off, needs a tweak.

On tap at Pangaea. Pours light copper with a thin white head and a light floral aroma. There is a tasty caramel malt flavor with a very dry bitter finish. Has more intense flavor than the average kolsch.

8 ounce sample on tap at the brewpub. Aroma is fairly light with a snappy, grassy hoppiness. Good biscuit malt presence, too. Improves as this warms. Nice. Transparent golden body with a small white head. Light lacing. Starts with a grassy hop character. Has some cereal notes in the middle, before this finishes with huge grassy hop bitterness. Prety dry, and quite bitter for the style. A little over the top, in my opinion. I would prefer more lemon citrus character. Pretty good nonetheless, but definitely not what I was expecting from a Kolsch.
