Bottle - Light sour tropical fruits and grapefruit rind. Clearish gold with a rich white head. Funky fruity notes and grapefruit with a touch of raw wood.

Bottle @ Bistro L’Autre Oeil. Hazy pale gold, persistent white head. Very vinous aroma, grapefruit undertones. Citrus hop character and white grape must combine nicely on the palate with crackery pale malts. Low-key oak character, moderate bitterness. Very well done, very enjoyable.

My Bottom Line:
White grapefruit, crisp cereals, brettanomyces and white grapes coalesce in this most refined of Wild Ales.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the misty golden.
-Brettanomyces fits in perfectly with the rest of the flavour profile .
-Drinkability is high, as is common in these days.
-Yet another delicious Sutton wild ale!

On tap at IBU festival, Montréal.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a nice large foamy head with good lacing and some retention. Aroma of dry Brett notes with light citrusy notes is enjoyable. Taste is also a mix of dry Brett notes with some oak and Chardonnay flavours with light citrusy notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. This is an enjoyable take on the APA style.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy orange with a small white head leaving some lacing. Aroma is of grapefruits, delicate well integrated chardonnay presence, herbal notes, mineral notes and mild oak spiciness. Taste is also obviously grapefruits forward but it never gets harsh, the chardonnay barrel is again delicate providing a nice fruitiness, oak spiciness is still rather soft but appears more clearly than in the aroma and there’s a mild grapefruits bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Some mild oak tannins. Rather dry finish but with a fun fruity-grapey touch. Nice grapefruits forward Assemblage. I like how this was blended to give the barrel just enough place while never overpowering the base beer. Delicate and lovely.

Note: 8+/10

500 ml bottle purchased at the brewpub on June 22, 2016. Dark gold, medium head. Raw barley and pale malt aroma, light notes of sour grapes. Fruity pale malt taste with a bit of acid, notes of sweet and sour grapes and dry hay, nice wood finish.

(1873-080716)

Bottle from marché du village thx Alex for buying A: chardonnay, perfumy, citrusy, some pineapple App: clear copper small white head and lacing. T/p: med body with lightly acidic finish. Moderate carbonation. O: a nice blend I prefer it over the original version the barrel aging adds a nice little acidity increasing drinkabilty and texture is pretty good too.
