Lots of sweet malt, brown sugar, almost syrupy. But the hops add some aromatic bitterness, which makes this a very good beer indeed. Bold (9) - DENMARK - OCT 7, 2005 does not count
I think this beer has been heavily underrated so far! It sure has got almost everything you could possibly ask for. A very nice almost candy like toffee aroma. Huge off-white head. A full-bodied palate with lots of toffee, roasted malt, hazelnuts. A well-balanced finish with plenty of bitter hops to compensate for the sweet ingredients. Oh, I liked it a lot - and I will never share it with anyone. Not even my best friend! Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 3, 2005
(Bottle 70 cL) from sk8viking. Poured an almost clear caramel color with a solid layer of rather well-retained off-white head. Aroma was deeply malted with caramel and hazelnut dominant... I also found some floral hops, white bread, and what I’m guessing is a funky yeast that I cannot place. Flavor had a very nice blend of caramel malts, lighter fruit, noble hops, and a nice spice bouquet. Medium-bodied. Smooth and creamy across the palate, with sweet malts and spices on the finish. Well-balanced and very pleasant brew! Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 14, 2005
(Bottle 70 cl) Chestnut brown, slightly hazy with an impressive, rocky head. Malty, caramelish notes with a quite distinct bitterness. A nice one indeed. 121203 Storm (2684) - Amager, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2005
75 cl Bottle. Red-brown colour with a nice fast head. Very malty and caramel aroma. And also very malty taste and a lot af caramel in aftertaste, so some sweetness afterall, a typical Svaneke beer. But its sade that there come additives in the beer(Colour E150).

Caramel and toast nose, hazy auburn color, low tight biege head. Full sweet malt body, toffee, some chocolate too. Hazelnut in the middle. Quick tinge of a hop bitter towards the end. More sweet than bitter but quite good. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 29, 2005
Wowzer - thank you Ivan for this nice treat! Nice orange nealry red color. Fizzy carbonation. Small head on top. An intense almond nose with nice notes of cherry. Great nutty - mmhhh more like hazelnut, caramel taste with some light bitter chocolate notes. Nice bitter kick at the end but quite short. ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 9, 2005
Hazy amber colour. Few head. Deep malty aroma of caramel and brown sugar, smalll notes of figs and banana. Malty, well-rounded flavour of caramel, wet grass and toffee. Long aftertaste of toasted malts. MiP (15943) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 2, 2005
Bottle. Reddish colour, big stable head. Malty aroma. Malty flavour with some butteriness and a slightly hint of refreshing citrusy acidity. joergen (28753) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 23, 2005
Red colour with a small beige head. Sweet malty aroma with notes of grain and fruit. Malty flavour with a well balanced bitterness. Nice, but a typical beer from Svaneke Bryghus.
