Deep red-amber, clear; huge creamy, lacey head. Diacetyl, caramel, bottom fermentation in the nose. Nutty (hazelnut) - quite OK! - hazelnut -butter, even meaty flavours. medium to full bodied. Aftertaste yields quite some hops. Again, too much diacetyl, but at the same time, the beer behind it is quite OK. God, LAGER your beers! dirkbreedveld (289) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2003
roasted malts, so a very dark beer bayleaf in palate and nose, very strong and lasting taste, extremely good beer for christmas LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 15, 2003
IMHO this is a fine beer, just like all other beers from Svaneke Bryghus. Nice malty (caramel/toffee) aroma and flavour. A bit more bitter finish than the "Bornholmerbrygs". However, not their finest brew. omhper (24963) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 15, 2003
Bottled. Murky dark amber. Cellary caramel aroma. Firm, but clean hard mouthfeel. Bitterish finish. Aromatic. Thanks Ungstrup for this and many other beers! jfm (1724) - Holbæk, DENMARK - OCT 10, 2003
Dark amber color with a decent head. The taste is sweet with notes of caramel. A nicely balanced beer.

Opaque amber color, dark; thin head. Strong caramel aroma, sweet; malt and bread. Caramel character, balanced taste but simple. Palate is ordinary, dominated by a quite good caramel note. Dalle (1145) - Skørping, DENMARK - SEP 3, 2003
Unfiltered, dark. Malty with notes of caramel and chocolate. Creamy. Very nice. Ungstrup (37231) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 16, 2003
The aroma is very fruity with notes of malt and straws - much like the other brews from Svaneke. The color is a dark amber and it has a beutiful head. The flavor a is very rounded sweet flavor with notes of malt, straws, and a weak but very good bitterness. A really good flavor.
