Dark amber with a nice head. The aroma is very malty with notes of grain and a hint of flower. The flavour has a light sweetness and a light citrussy bitterness and thee most dominant notes are malt, grain/straw and a touch of flower. JorisPPattyn (10072) - BELGIUM - MAR 14, 2004
Deep red-amber, clear; huge creamy, lacey head. Diacetyl, caramel, bottom fermentation in the nose. Nutty (hazelnut) - quite OK! - hazelnut -butter, even meaty flavours. medium to full bodied. Aftertaste yields quite some hops. Again, too much diacetyl, but at the same time, the beer behind it is quite OK. God, LAGER your beers! Skinnyviking (9720) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 10, 2006
Bottle. Off white lasting head. Unclear amber body. Lovely barley aroma. Barley flavor with low bitterness. Hansen (8615) - Assentoft, DENMARK - JUN 19, 2006
A typically Svaneke. Has a malty aroma with notes of dark bread, and some hints of yeast. Color is amber. Flavor is mainly sweet. Sigmund (7917) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 5, 2004
Bottle conditioned, 700 ml. ABV is 5.8%. Cloudy brown colour, moderate head. Interesting aroma and flavour: caramel and toffee but not really sweetish, spices (cardamom, white pepper, salt of hartshorn), some alcoholic bite but not too much. Hoppy bitterness in the finish leaves a nice aftertaste. Good beer! Thanks, JensenTaster!
