roasted malts, so a very dark beer bayleaf in palate and nose, very strong and lasting taste, extremely good beer for christmas Bold (9) - DENMARK - OCT 7, 2005 does not count
I think this beer has been heavily underrated so far! It sure has got almost everything you could possibly ask for. A very nice almost candy like toffee aroma. Huge off-white head. A full-bodied palate with lots of toffee, roasted malt, hazelnuts. A well-balanced finish with plenty of bitter hops to compensate for the sweet ingredients. Oh, I liked it a lot - and I will never share it with anyone. Not even my best friend! Mads Langtved (2243) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - AUG 27, 2004
This i a great vienna. The beer has the same type of yeast taste as many other beers from Svaneke. Bitter finish, caramel, sweet flavour. High carbonation shich gives a great mouth feeling. Sigmund (7514) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 5, 2004
Bottle conditioned, 700 ml. ABV is 5.8%. Cloudy brown colour, moderate head. Interesting aroma and flavour: caramel and toffee but not really sweetish, spices (cardamom, white pepper, salt of hartshorn), some alcoholic bite but not too much. Hoppy bitterness in the finish leaves a nice aftertaste. Good beer! Thanks, JensenTaster! AndersR (196) - Århus, DENMARK - DEC 24, 2004
Nice dark red brown color with descent head. Smokey malty aroma with hints of caramel. Again in flavor lots of malts and more caramel and hazlenut. A distinct sharp bitter end.
Mmm i like it! Another great beer from Svaneke.

Wowzer - thank you Ivan for this nice treat! Nice orange nealry red color. Fizzy carbonation. Small head on top. An intense almond nose with nice notes of cherry. Great nutty - mmhhh more like hazelnut, caramel taste with some light bitter chocolate notes. Nice bitter kick at the end but quite short. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 3, 2005
(Bottle 70 cL) from sk8viking. Poured an almost clear caramel color with a solid layer of rather well-retained off-white head. Aroma was deeply malted with caramel and hazelnut dominant... I also found some floral hops, white bread, and what I’m guessing is a funky yeast that I cannot place. Flavor had a very nice blend of caramel malts, lighter fruit, noble hops, and a nice spice bouquet. Medium-bodied. Smooth and creamy across the palate, with sweet malts and spices on the finish. Well-balanced and very pleasant brew! LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 15, 2003
IMHO this is a fine beer, just like all other beers from Svaneke Bryghus. Nice malty (caramel/toffee) aroma and flavour. A bit more bitter finish than the "Bornholmerbrygs". However, not their finest brew. Jeppe (2631) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - APR 10, 2004
Another nice beer from Svaneke Bryghus. But, they really should do something about the homogeneity of their beers, they all taste very much the same..... This one pours a dark amber body with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet of dark roasted malt and caramel. Flavor is also quite sweet at first but has a good bitter end. Malt, caramel and toffee and hops in the finish. Very soft and creamy. PetetheMeat (621) - Hove, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2004
On bottle: Bronze colour, short off white head. Malty sweet aroma. Honey. Good carbonation. Mild, moderately hopped flavour. Sweet (and roasted) malts. A hint of minerals. Something floral. Dry, slightly bitter finish. Overall very good indeed.
