Deep red-amber, clear; huge creamy, lacey head. Diacetyl, caramel, bottom fermentation in the nose. Nutty (hazelnut) - quite OK! - hazelnut -butter, even meaty flavours. medium to full bodied. Aftertaste yields quite some hops. Again, too much diacetyl, but at the same time, the beer behind it is quite OK. God, LAGER your beers! JensenTaster (1719) - DENMARK - APR 29, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2004 (on bottle)A very plesant mouthfull that"should be enjoyed with friends" as the label reads. Only pulling 5,8 this is a beer that you actually CAN enjoy at any time, without having to take a nap(or a new beer)after. A hazy, lightbrown brew, with a very nice nut and caramelnose to it. The sherrytaste increases with the lenght of drinking. Apart from the other brews from Svaneke, this has no ugly yeast bitteraftertaste. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 28, 2006
Lots of sweet malt, brown sugar, almost syrupy. But the hops add some aromatic bitterness, which makes this a very good beer indeed. HenrikSoegaard (14166) - Randers, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2006
Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Heavy malty aroma. Slightly hoppy. Nice flavor, average finish. Oily palate. Good vienna!!!!!!! Dixen (1465) - Flagstaff, Arizona, USA - MAY 8, 2004
Nice brown body with nice white head. The nose is lots of malts and caramel. The same is the flavor. In fact i find it too malty and sweet not enough hops to balance out the malts.

Bottle. Reddish colour, big stable head. Malty aroma. Malty flavour with some butteriness and a slightly hint of refreshing citrusy acidity. Storm (2684) - Amager, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2005
75 cl Bottle. Red-brown colour with a nice fast head. Very malty and caramel aroma. And also very malty taste and a lot af caramel in aftertaste, so some sweetness afterall, a typical Svaneke beer. But its sade that there come additives in the beer(Colour E150). Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 14, 2005
(Bottle 70 cl) Chestnut brown, slightly hazy with an impressive, rocky head. Malty, caramelish notes with a quite distinct bitterness. A nice one indeed. 121203 saxo (18299) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 22, 2006
Bottle. Nice head with ok duration. Color is amber. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Taste is watery yet rich in an odd way. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - APR 20, 2007
Bottled. Grassy aroma with hints of raisin. Light hazy, light brown color, beige head, fair lace. Light sweet start but more sweet in the middle and finish. Some malts, raisin and certainly grassy but not overwhelming, light bitter. Very refreshing.
