Light and pleasantly smoky. A bit thin at first, but grows creamy in the mouth. Well balanced beer with chocolate and caramel.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt - lending it a slight acidity, but also with hints of smoke. The flavor is both has sweet and hard roasted malt notes - again the hard roasted malt lends it a slight acidity, while the alcohol tickles the tongue slightly, before a very dry and slightly roasted finish sets in. faroeviking (10988) - Citizen above universe pendejo, FAROE ISLANDS - JUL 28, 2008
Botella. Colour: Black with a big well settled brown creamy bubbly long lasting steady head. Aroma: Well roasted malt, good chocolate, slight smoke, dark fruits and bitter hops. Good filling mouthfeel. Flavour: Bit smoky with bitter hops, dark chocolate, dark fruits, alcohol and lots of roasted malt. Roasty well lasting finish. Great brew. I første øjekast en lidt tynd porter når den kommer i munden, men udvikler hurtigt en imponerende fylde. God øl omhper (25258) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 17, 2008
Bottled, thanks Baggio! Very dark brown, creamy head. There are dough, hay and licorice. It’s sweet and soft. The lovely chewy yet cottony doughy malt makes it superbly drinkable. The salty licorice lingers well into the lingering bitter finish. I love it!

500. Thanks, Maria! Pours jet black with a dense, creamy tan head. Huge chocolatey and pruney nose. Creamy medium body. Roasty, chocolatey, pruney mid-palate. Big and flavorful but not quite at the level of true boldness--lots of flavor without having to wrestle too much. Long dry finish. Nice stuff. 500 ml bottle - wow, thanks tom!!! dark brown and clear cola around the edges; chocolate, graham crackers; medium body with fizzy coffee flavors and chocolate; on the thin side, but very nice and not overly sweet like some baltics; oats, toffee, and a little rich, quite yummy as it warms thewolf (12635) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2008
