(50 cl bottle from Bornholmerbutikken, Torvehallerne) Pours black with little, quickly receding toffee head. Some lace. Aroma is toasted malt and bread with a whiff of caramel and surprisingly what seems to me like a hint of oxydation(?) Oily on the palate, medium bodied with soft carbonation and a dark, slightly sweet finish. Taste is slightly sweet with some toasted notes. Not that impressive for the ABV. bax (1311) - Hasselager, Aarhus, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2012

Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. A black body is topped by a small, beige head. The aroma is roasted, with some licorice and a faint vegetal hint. Sweet, roasted flavor, dry and full-bodied on the palate. Dry and roasted finish too. A nice beer, that’s for sure, but it lacks big time on complexity. Or maybe it was too subtle to be enjoyed at a festival, I don’t know, but I’d like to have the chance to find out. 110527 chrisv10 (17929) - DENMARK - OCT 23, 2011
