Very well made Baltic Porter from Svaneke with burnt flavors of tar, coffee and salty licorice. Almost a perfect porter simply. mgajdaczewa (2143) - Katowice, POLAND - NOV 6, 2013
Bałtycki porter na wędzonych słodach? Nie może być lepiej! Doskonale to piwo wygląda, czarne, oleiste z dużą obfitą pianą.

Pours deep chestnut with a good red-black play to the colours. A small, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma is sweet, quite malty, light liqourice, dark chocolate and mild grainy. Low carbonation, great kinda dry mouthfeel. Well creamy. Flavour is very elegant, dark chocolate, liqourice, light sweetness. Caramel, light grainy, some mild figs. Long, lingering, malty bitter finish. Very delicious.
Drunk to celebrate my rating number 20,300. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, sweet and roasted malt, and a bit of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and wood, leading to a dry, alcoholic, and roasted finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

From tap at Lord Nelson. Pours pitch black with a small chocolate brown head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish, mild chocolate. Bitter yet smooth malty flavoured. Mixed caramel and chocolate flavoured. A bit of liqourice and light hopped. Ends medium sweet but with a growing bitterness. faroeviking (10910) - FAROE ISLANDS - MAR 3, 2011
Botella. Pitch black colour, solid. Great huge light brown steady creamy puffy head, lasting just well on the top for a while and then starts diminishing, but beautiful, leaving a good lacing. Very pleasant aroma of hard roasted malt with dark chocolate and some alcohol along with caramel, sweet like. Good filling mouthfeel, smooth like and with a medium carbonation. So very much indeed a pleasant flavour of solid roasted malt with chocolate, some alcohol, liqourice and a good bitter hoppiness. The roasted maltiness has a noticeable bitterness for sure but not so overwelming. Pleasant dry roasted maltiness and biter hoppiness in the finish. Great brew though just a bit too young, the alc. should be less noticeable, mainly nin the aroma. Some of these in the cellar for a few years would be a good thing to do. A great brew indeed Jan Paul. Rasmus40 (20632) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2011
