Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Hazy, deep amber body. Lightly brown head. Aroma of flowers, honey and sweet fine malts. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Ok balance, but not very complex. Ok but not sublime. jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JAN 7, 2007
Düsseldorf Gathering, Bottled. Malty and apple aroma. Hazy, brown color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, fruity, light bitter, floral, apples, sticky. Nice. LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 26, 2006
Nice enough and it does resemble the real "Mørk Guld". However, the aroma seems more acidic and the palate is bad (very lively and watery). All in all, it tastes like a discount version of the "Mørk Guld" - which I suppose, is exactly what it is... ogivlado (8108) - Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 23, 2006

I think it’s this one... I hope it’s this one. It didn’t say anything about COOP on the bottle, but it’s set apart on the Svaneke site from the Mørk Guld, so... I’m guessing it’s this one.
We didn’t check what it was before we had it, and we were expecting some golden ale (no mørk on the front label, only in the commercial description on the one in the back of the bottle). Imagine our surprise then, when this poured a dark red/amber colour. It has a huge beige head (that left nice lacing), and plenty of carbonation. The nose is mainly malt, with hints of honey, green apples and dust. The taste is relatively thin, with a roastiness dominating, up to the weak(ish) bitter roasty finish. A fine, nice maltiness is there, but it’s quite light. A cute, drinkable beer.
