Handbottled (thanks Papsoe!). Hazy nutbrown colour and small beige head. (was clear amber colour before the yeasty part of the beer went in). Aroma is juniper, soap, some flowery notes as well as quite spicy. Flavour is juniper, spruce, fruits and some slight spices. A rather nice and balanced brew.

With a name like that, I just had to give the brew a test. Not overwhelmingly exciting, but has, nonetheless, got something to offer. Mid-sweet malty to the nose. Modest taste of juniper berries and spiced hoppy fruits. Quite well bodied. Unclear amber body with a nice, off-white, dissipating head (shared with faroeviking, draught on CBF, 16.05.2009).

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 2, 2009
