UPDATED: SEP 28, 2014 Bottle. 4.6%. Best before 03.07.15. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a white head. Good lacing. Sweetish, spicy hop aroma. Flavour is sweetish and a wee bit tart, with the same spicy hop note as in the aroma, and with a grainy touch. Light metallic overtone. Faint cardboard note as it warms. Mildly bitter finish, with a (citrusy) hop note. Lingering grainy and light apple notes. Overall okay, if nothing special, but definitely better than the last time I rated it. 28.09.14.DrFunk (80) - Sorumsand, NORWAY - JUL 3, 2008

Bottle. Pours a hazy, pale yellow with a white head and some lacing. Looks like a witbier. Aroma is cooked vegetables; a delicate blend of potatoes, carrots and peas, I believe. As it warms, it develops some malty notes, but is still dominated by the vegetables. Flavour is sweetish cereals and cooked vegetables. Notes of hay in the finish and a decent, medium bitterness. The bitterness is the only good thing about this beer. This is crap! ...There, I said it! 04-07-08.
500ml bottle sample from importer.
Pours clear and olden with white head. Great floral hop aroma with citrus. More body than commercial scandinavian lagers. A great pilsner. Gr0ve (2176) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 6, 2008
500 ml bottle. Delicate hazy white golden colour. Tall white fine-laced head that clings to the glass. Clean floral hop aroma. High carbonation level. Some light notes of hay and bread and some citrus as well. Flavourwise the hops are rather neutral. The bitterness is prominent, as the malts don’t come through that well. Light grainy malts. Overall a light-bodied beer. Refreshing indeed, but could have used a little more flavour. Rune (13743) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 6, 2008
500ml bottle at Pegasus, Copenhagen. Golden body with a lasting white head. Pale malty aroma with hints of vegetables. Seville orange shells in flavour with a vanilla touch and notes of dried vegetables at the ending. Suppable with tapas (28.05.2008). KimJohansen (10498) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2008
Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet fruity with caramel, hops and malty notes. Finishes mild bitter.

Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. Didn’t note whether it was draught or bottle. Mid gold colour. Hints of grassy hop but more biscuity malt. Pleasant enough but not one of Svaneke’s more distinctive brews.

500 ml bottle. Average coarse white head. Golden colored with a slight haze. Aroma of freshly baked bread with a sourish accent, and some whiffs of toffee and grassy hops. Taste is light sour-sweet and grainy with a citrus note and a fine bitterness. Body is light plus. Light astringent finish. Enjoyable. Bragesnak (5393) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 2, 2008

Malty character - hints of burned sweetness. Balanced hoppiness ciuspan (94) - Hillerød, DENMARK - MAR 23, 2008
En rigtig tørstslukker lige til at tylle på en varm sommerdag, er ren og blid i smagen. Christian (13930) - Odense, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2008
Cloudy yellow with a disappearing hite head. Toffee and butterscotch in the aroma, ith grassy hops. Sweet pilsner malt flavour, with a decent background of hop bitterness, just not coming together in a very pleasant way
