Pitch black with a large, brown head.
Salty with a lot of chocolate and cocoa. Also some licorice and horse-blanket. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 1, 2007
It’s a black porter with a nice, creamy light brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and a hint of rope and tarr. The flavour is initially quite smooth, but then comes a burnt bitterness with notes of roasted malt and licorice. It’s an OK and quite nice porter, but a bit monotonous in it’s expression. 2259 fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 17, 2007
Draught at Plan B, CopenhagenFrankJohansen (3622) - Sabro, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2007
Black color with a creamy beige head. The aroma is mild, but nice, with coffee notes and rubharb candies (I wonder if they exist in Italy only, though; it’s sweet caramel or toffee, but more sourish). Good body structure, good mix of malt (with it’s sugars) and roasted malt (with their bitterness and light sourness). In the final, there is the sweetness again with the bold, roasted bitterness, and a hint of salty liquorice. Good.
Bottle. Black colour with a huge mostly lasting light brown head. Rich aroma and taste of roasted malts, sweet chocolate with a semi bitter finish with notes of coffee. Good beer. Ungstrup (37655) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 13, 2007
Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty again with strong notes of chocolate combined with roasted malt, which gives it a dry and bitter finish.

Roasty bitterish finish. madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUN 2, 2007
Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Chocolate and sweetness in the aroma. Light roast. Flavour is roasty and has light cocoa. Is quite mild and have definate coffee notes. Quite balanced but a bit on the bland side. Medium bodied. Dry. Has some coffeeroast in the end. Not the best but definately not the worst porter I’ve tried. caesar (7156) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 29, 2007

UPDATED: APR 8, 2009 (On tap) Black and almost opaque with a reddish hue and a creamy, beige head. Some licorice in the aroma. Fairly full-bodied with a sweetish aroma of roasted malt, some licorice notes and a malt astringency in the finish. But generally a well rounded and pleasant Porter. 110507
