COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Draft. Black with a red shine under a tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt alcohol and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of over-ripe fruit, alcohol, and roasted malt. Hand bottle 50 cl. Pours a completely opaque black with a dense, light brown head. Fresh and lightly perfumy hop aroma, while the hard roasted malts are surprisingly downplayed. The mouthfeel is almost velvety smooth. Good and solid body dominated by tje hard roasted malt accents with a pruny accent. Burned malt finish with the warming alcohol shining through. Lovely! And great to see what brewer Jan Paul is capable off when let a little loose. 210309

Courtesy of Thelonius, thanks Jan for this wonderful hand bottled beer. I love the name :) It is pitch black and the head is dark brown and creamy. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, light smoke, licorice, dark fruits and hints of tar. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, light smoke, dark fruits, licorice, light hints of tar and the finish is dry and roasted with hints of plums. It is a very delicious Impy!
