[ Courtesy of Maria ]. Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, wood, licorice. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. 
50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Dry yeasty and roasted malt aroma. Roasted and malty aroma witt a nice chocolate flavoured. Smooth chocolate and roasted flavoured. Draught at Københavns Øldage 2009, Valby. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate. coffee and licorice aroma. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor with some hints of dark fruit and some hints of licorice. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Hand bottle 50 cl. Pours a completely opaque black with a dense, light brown head. Fresh and lightly perfumy hop aroma, while the hard roasted malts are surprisingly downplayed. The mouthfeel is almost velvety smooth. Good and solid body dominated by tje hard roasted malt accents with a pruny accent. Burned malt finish with the warming alcohol shining through. Lovely! Bottle. It’s a gorgeous looking beer, black as can be, with nice lacings left as the finger-thick tan head is lowered in the glass. Roasted, coffee-ish nose, mocha, with some licorice as well. The flavor is sweet and roasted, with coffee, mocha and notes of licorice. Warming, full-bodied and sweetish in the mouth, finishing warm, roasted and coffee-ish, and with a nice hoppy bitterness. Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is dry, smoked, coffee. Flavour is sweet, dry, smoked, coffee, hop, apple. Bitter coffee finish. Nice full bodied beer.
