Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is dry, smoked, coffee. Flavour is sweet, dry, smoked, coffee, hop, apple. Bitter coffee finish. Nice full bodied beer. yngwie (17234) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 30, 2009
Bottle. It’s a gorgeous looking beer, black as can be, with nice lacings left as the finger-thick tan head is lowered in the glass. Roasted, coffee-ish nose, mocha, with some licorice as well. The flavor is sweet and roasted, with coffee, mocha and notes of licorice. Warming, full-bodied and sweetish in the mouth, finishing warm, roasted and coffee-ish, and with a nice hoppy bitterness. A wonderful Imperial Stout, just lovely! (090522) thewolf (12803) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2009

Pours pitch black with a great, creamy, beige head. Aroma is dry, roasted, some raisins, dark chocolate. Highish carbonation, great creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is dry, roasted, lots of dark chocolate. Long, lingering dryness. Really nice and very well balanced. Proof that a great Imperial Stout doesn’t have to be 15%+ ABV.
Handbottled, Courtesy by Yngwie (thanx a lot). Dark brown, close to black body with a thin but surprisingly firm brown head. Aroma is WOW – roasted malt, liquorices and chocolate. Really promising. Flavor is sweet and nicely roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and hops. Rich body and a fine sweet aftertaste. This is world wide class beer! Geokkjer (7647) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 10, 2009

øbenhavnske Øldage 2009. Dark brown to near black colored body. Low tan head. Rich fruity aroma, surprisingly fruity for the style. Dark dried fruits and plum marmelade. Also a pleasant malt scent with a fine roastedness and and notes of choclate and bitter coffee. Full-flavored; lots of dark, generously roasted malts, dark fruits again, and a bold fruity hop bitterness in the backbone. Near full-bodied and very easy to drink. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. Well-crafted, fresh and complex with high drinkability. Very nice.
Courtesy of Thelonius, thanks Jan for this wonderful hand bottled beer. I love the name :) It is pitch black and the head is dark brown and creamy. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, light smoke, licorice, dark fruits and hints of tar. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, light smoke, dark fruits, licorice, light hints of tar and the finish is dry and roasted with hints of plums. It is a very delicious Impy! Hand bottle 50 cl. Pours a completely opaque black with a dense, light brown head. Fresh and lightly perfumy hop aroma, while the hard roasted malts are surprisingly downplayed. The mouthfeel is almost velvety smooth. Good and solid body dominated by tje hard roasted malt accents with a pruny accent. Burned malt finish with the warming alcohol shining through. Lovely! And great to see what brewer Jan Paul is capable off when let a little loose. 210309 MiP (15973) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - APR 1, 2009
Bottle, 9.5%. Good roasted aroma, some mild coffee , grassy aroma hop. Very black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is quite powerful. Roasted with a mild coffee note again. Quite bitter. Syrupy mouthfeel. Slightly burning alcohol finish. fonefan (51126) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2009
Handbottle 50cl. @ home.
[ Courtesy of Maria ]. Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, wood, licorice. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic.
