Bottled - trade with chris_o. A mahogany coloured beer with no head. The aroma is very malty, with brown bread and cakey fruits. The taste also has brown fruits. It is sweet as one would expect, maybe too sweet, with tobacco notes.

A slightly hazy amber beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is typically for Svanke, sweet with notes of straw and fruity esters - reminding me of a barn yard. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, straw, fruity esters, and citrus, but also hints of the alcohol, and a slightly burnt end. The mouthfeel is very smooth, just like the whole range of Svaneke beers.

Cloudy copper colour with thin white head. Nice yeast hop aroma. Nice lemon fruit. A certain meatyness too. I quite like this. Lemon is subtle but present. Good balance and depth of flavour.

Golden/orange, nice offwhite/yellowish head. Aroma from honey and fruit, with some nutty notes. Malty flavor, nuts and fruits, creamy and with some alcohol even if it is well hidden.

Orange-brown, a tad biiter, this beer tastes rather malty, this brew goes very well with food. It is one of the best I have ever tasted from Svaneke. I will drink it again any tiime.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2008 Bottle. Teaish malt aroma, mixed with pipe tobacco. Light orange colour. Very malty flavour, and a little peppery. Has some bonbon flavour which I usually assiciate with Ørbæk. Malty aftertaste. Nice. 5 2 7 3 17

Bottle. Quite malty flavour. Cloudy dark orange colour. Stable, creamy tan head. Hint of tartness, but nice. A bit fruity - not too pleasant. 5 3 6 3 14

Very vegetal, legume-like, earthy, beety aroma. Orange-copper coloured body with a low, off white head that recedes to ring. Vegetal notes are offset by sweet malts with some yeasty, doughy flavours, some dark fruit and moderate finishing bitterness. Medium body with fair carbonation. Bottle (Ølbutikken, Aug-05) sampled with MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.

Engelsmann (651) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 18, 2005
Bottled. Pours a dark brown, with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet malty. Taste is full bodied sweet and malty. Medium malty aftertaste

Very nice beer with the honest to the Danish brewer. Has a good taste and good looking. Nice for white meet or non-spicy meals.
