Tapped at Hostinec Richtar Jakub in Bratislava/Slovakia. Served in a pint. First of all this is not so my beer style. Aroma is nice rasted malt and some smoked malt. Not so nose piercing, but present. Color is black, dark ruby amber when flash lighted. Beige espresso creamy and soapy head. Taste is of roasted malt, bitter coffee and some smoked flavor, not too much, but present. Like I said, this is my beer style. Overall ok, but nothing special for me. On tap at RJ. Aroma is woody smoky, pretty strong tobacco. Almost black colour, stable beige head. Taste is pretty much the same. Quite strong smoked flavour with notes of tobacco. Dark roasted malts. Initially caramel sweetness, right away balanced with nice roastiness. Perfect balance. Full chewy body, yet reasonably drinkable. Really good one. mithe (1983) - Opava & Brno, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 11, 2014
(tap 0,5l @ OP (Brno))
Light roasted malt, very light smoke aroma. Black-ruby color. Huge brown head. Medium sweet, very light smoke, later light fruity, light spicy flavor. Medium-full body. Long dry finish. Too light aroma, almost not smoky. Quite disappointment. sturmthis (1195) - Bavaria, GERMANY - MAR 8, 2014
On draft. Dark brown with red hue. Light palate. Coffee taste, but a little watery. Dece motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - AUG 12, 2013
on tap at the brewpub on a chilly night. rich deep dark purple with a light brown head and some tree ring lacing; aroma is salty reminiscent of oyster stout with a light whiff of smoke; lightly plummy, chewy texture, modest but appropriate bitterness; gets better and better all the way down

Dark brown, alst black color with big off white head. Aroma of smoke, ham, cream, nuts, mollasses. Taste is medium bitter with a bit of smoke to it and a bit sweetness. Light body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Pretty nice. rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 27, 2013
Bottle at Klasterni Strahov, Prague. Very dark amber/brown beer with a decent brownish head. Roasted malt aroma, burnt wood, a bit smoky, caramel notes, tar and dark chocolate. Roasted tar and licorice flavor, smoked, woody, caramel, licorice, dark chocolate and cocoa powder, some bitter hops. Roasted chocolate finish with smoked notes. keg at Strahov. Pours a dark, clear brown with a thick, grey tan head. The smoke is minimal and there is a touch too much black malt leading to an over bitter, burnt toast flavour. It’s not unpleasant but brings up memories of homebrew. JulienHuxley (5985) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 16, 2013
On tap at Klasterni Strahov. Very dark yet still clear brown ruby pour with off-white/tan foam. Roasted malts, light smokey notes and chewy malt flavors. The smoke is mainly present as a sort of lingering finish. You can sense the alcohol warmth, but not taste it. Good. MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 10, 2013
My Bottom Line:
Beechwood smoke surfs this Smoked Porter’s lean, bubbly mouthfeel, as fruity, almost tart angles appear within the roast.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the dark brown haze.
-Mild caramel malt flavors are felt.
-The fruitiness is reminiscent of berries.
-Drinkability is quite high.
-Smoke character is not too intense to put off people not-in-the-know.
On tap at the brewpub.
