We prepared a light new beer Sv. Norbert Summer Red Ale 1143. 1143 is a reference to the founding of the Strahov Monastry and signifies the gravity of beer that is 11,4 % (5,3 % Vol). Caramel Malt dominates in the color, taste and aroma. Caramel taste is complemented by a strong hoppy. Hops used are: Delta, Mosaic and Whole hops Experimental 366. This beer is a light and refreshing drink so it will be served until the end of the summer holidays.

12 oz bottle shared by a friend, thanks Ben! Mostly clear golden amber with thin beige head. Aromas of slightly tart dark fruit, biscuit, stone fruit, a little funky. Tastes of biscuit, toast, a little cardboard. Medium body with a dry finish.

Red amber with a lasting off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus and peach and that fine Czech bread and biscuit malt character. Dry malty flavour with good fruity character and a firm bitter finish.

Sample at GBBF 2016, Thursday. Clear amber beer with a decent off-white head. Fruity malty aroma, grassy, citrus, dark bread, som hay. Floral bread flavor, citrus, hay, grapes, some dark bread. Ok.

Tasted on 23.08.15. Trade with Jamedra. Delicate aroma of malts, caramel, fruits and some herbal hops. Small off-white head disappearing to thin layer. Cloudy copper colour. Dry body, a bit biscuit in taste with pleasant herbal bitterness. Pleasant bitter aftertaste.

On gravity dispense at GBBF 2015. Colour is rusty plum fruity red with a white foam head. Nose is fruity, caramel, Autumn leaves, maple syrup, some citrous grapefruit or lemon hop. Taste is dark fruits, caramel, citrous grapefruit, but dry. There’s a fair amount of dry hopping. Bit hop chewy but nice.

Keg klasterni pivovar monestery prague. Rich Red good head beige head. Aroma is caramel citrus, red fruits taste same good pine sweet malts nice hoppy biter finish. Decent mouthfeel prickly carbonated.

On tap at Strahov monastery brewpub. Deep hazy amber with big strong off white, almost tan head. Light hoppy aroma, taste is nutty, dried fruits, some caramel, hints of wood and herbs, sweet with wooden bitterness. Mainly malty finish. Full taste, medium body, medium carbonation. It’s an amber ale with mostly malty character.
