Mörkt öl, nästan svart, med ett fylligt capuccinoskum som så sakteliga lägger sig. Tunn arom, honung och mörk sirap. Bättre smak, där honung och röda bär går igenom i en trevlig sötma. BenH (3436) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 2, 2015

[bottle from Galerie Pivni in Prague]
Clear, reddish brown with a nice, lasting yellowy foam that leaves plenty of lacing. Refreshingly "dark" aroma for this style containing coffee and smokey bacon blended with subtle yet typical Pilsner hops. While the aroma was above average, the flavour was a bit disappointing: fairly sweet with pilsnery hopping and obvious alcohol. A little bit of watermelony caramel as well. Medium body, medium carbonation. pilsnerrogge (2973) - Finspång, SWEDEN - SEP 15, 2005
Golden/brown colour. Ultra-thick, creamy head. Roasty, almost smoked, malty aroma. Medium bodied, malty, roasty flavour with some sweetness and a subtle bitterness in the finish. heavy (2890) - Split, CROATIA - JUL 26, 2012
28/03 0.5 l bottle brought from Czech Rep. 5.2%. It poured reddish brown body with medium sized head. Sweet malty aroma, some sweet sugar, caramel and hay in the background. Sweetish flavor as well, caramel with some herbal and coffee bitterness. Fuller in body with pleasant and long cloying finish. Nice, tasty and full bodied dunkel. 500ml bottle @ Base Camp Bottle Shop, Prague. Deep mahogany with a tanned head that lasts for a long time and leaves good lacing. Sweet caramel nose, honey, hay and toffee. Thin and soft mouthfeel, mild carbonated making it really smooth. Sweet caramel taste, earthy and some grassy hops. Sweet finish. Well balanced and drinkable but not really a wow brew. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - NOV 3, 2005
From the bottle pours a very dark red, almost black with a light tan head that lasts. Very smooth throughout with a mild roastiness and hints of chocolate in the malt. Very creamy texture with a well balanced finish.
