500ml bottle @ Base Camp Bottle Shop, Prague. Deep mahogany with a tanned head that lasts for a long time and leaves good lacing. Sweet caramel nose, honey, hay and toffee. Thin and soft mouthfeel, mild carbonated making it really smooth. Sweet caramel taste, earthy and some grassy hops. Sweet finish. BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear deep ruby, big beige head. dark malts with notes of sweetish dark bread, toasted bread, spicy hops. Similar flavour, with a rosty and hoppy bitter finish. A bit too carbonated - would be nice to have a smoother body. Otherwise, a great tmavy. TheCametron (2480) - CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 20, 2012

Tap at the Cesky Pivni Festival. Deep ruby colored one with a creamy tan head. Sweet caramel aroma with buttery and roasted malt. Sweet malt and caramel dominates the flavor of the medium bodied beer. Light aftertaste. Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - OCT 26, 2010
Best before Dec 14, 2010. Aroma of sweet fig along with some slightly roasted coffee and forest/wood/wet earth. Peppery, herbal hop in the aroma too, pretty substantial even. Something of a frothiness to the head; lingering lace. Much, much redder/rubier than the German dunkels I have been having. Looks nice. Flavor has some roastiness, more than in the Germans lately, and waaaay more than in the Polish dunkels! Nice little bit of hop spice in the flavor, of the grass and pepper variety. Overall good, but not mindblowing like some of the recent dunkels I’ve had. Sebilinz (2337) - Linz, AUSTRIA - OCT 5, 2013
