Pours brown with a moderate creamy tan head.Strong roasted malt aroma. Nice velvet mouthfeel, taste of dark malts, liquorice and pepper. Taste starts sweet turns spicy, and ends with a long nice peppery aftertaste. For me this is like a Primator Stout "light". kapusil (1432) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 30, 2016
0.5l bottle. Dark orange/ruby body, beige head. Aroma of caramel, toast, orange zest and some dark fruits. Taste of caramel, toast, dark fruits, floral hops and a hint of roasted malts. Nice fruity upfront and a bit bitter in the finish. Very nice beer. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2005
Brown reddish colour with a light brown head. Roasted malty aroma with chocolate and vanilla notes. Nice complex flavor with some chocolate notes, a caramel sweetness and a dry bitter finish. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - NOV 3, 2005
From the bottle pours a very dark red, almost black with a light tan head that lasts. Very smooth throughout with a mild roastiness and hints of chocolate in the malt. Very creamy texture with a well balanced finish. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 16, 2007

(Rating #1557) mixos (154) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - SEP 7, 2009

On tap at Baráčnická rychta in Prague. Clear, dark ruby color with an off-white head that leaves lacing. Pretty much no carbonation. Very smooth mouthfeel. Aroma of malts, lots of caramel and also caramel in the aftertaste. Very enjoyable Dunkel. Lore (2746) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 3, 2014
mahogany colour, great beige creamy head; aroma of caramel, milk chocolate and hints of coffee; taste of caramel, roasted malt and some hops; great tmavy promontor (153) - HUNGARY - DEC 12, 2016
0.5l bottle from a Tesco in Czech Republic. Dark brown body with ruby hint. Dark beige foam. Aroma is moderate, mix of caramel, bit of chocolate/cocoa and yeast. Foam has bitter, roasted taste. The beer itself is moderately sweet, with hints of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate/cocoa. Occasionally some hints of red fruits, i.e. cherry. Or maybe some nuts. Also, fruits appear in the aroma around the end. Palate is OK, medium carbonation, mouthfeel is mild and fizzy at the same time, medium body, or even light. Or at least light for a 13. Moderately bitter aftertaste of the roasted type. Excitingly complex but somehow not as harmonic as the better Czech Tmaves. Good one, but this lack of harmony prevents it becaming a favourite for me.
