Absolutely the best beer I have partaken. Smooth, tasty - works cold or warm. JohnnyZ (90) - Illinois, USA - AUG 13, 2008
Nothing light or pale about this beer. This lager is one of Lithuania’s best. Good amount of bitterness and malt balance. Not yeasty and is refreshing. Quality lager. Slightly dry finish and mouth feel. Good with pizza and hot wings I imagine. Lithuanian pride. Donatas (188) - Vilnius, LITHUANIA - DEC 18, 2002

UPDATED: APR 11, 2007 bottle: Oh my god, what a great beer. I don’t understand the low ratings?! As a dortmunder, it leans towards malty sweetness: this is the taste people are decrying as "metalic" (it is supposed to this grainy presence). The malts must be high quality. You can taste lively, genuine flavour coating your mouth & throat on the finish. Even the empty glasses are coated in it. Yes, I spotted LordBeamish numerous times clutching his empty pint glass trying to drink in the aromatic honey smell. I swear our lips did not touch the glass: the beer just magically filled the void. We may have been speaking Lithuanian at one point. Totally reminds me of Headstrong Munich Lager another great example of this style. If you dont’ like Pale Lagers for their (apparent) lack of body, then try these 2 premium lagers. The LCBO purchaser behind this deserves a medal. Ganey (1) - Bilambil, AUSTRALIA - JUN 10, 2007 does not count
Only pretty new to this beer tasting thing, and over the past few years have tried as many beers that i can get my hands on.
This being my first beer rating i thought i would list one of my favourites, so there..i like it!!! Wulfstan (509) - California, USA - FEB 25, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2008 This is a nice, fairly full-bodied, tasty lager with good herbal-grassy hop taste and bitterness. It is gold with a big, creamy white head that lasts a long time and leaves decent lace. The aroma is pleasant, fairly strong grainy lager quality with hints of pine, herbs, and sulphur with the grain - a nice central European/Germanic style quality which I love. The taste is similar, being fairly light but still full-bodied and creamy from the creamy head. It has elemetns of toasty grain, honey, soft herbal-grassy hops, light but stil sufficiently strong and clear, persistent bitterness through to the finish. It has good balance and is in the end very satisfying.
