ŠVYTURIO is, 5,0 % volume light beer of transparent gold colour and tender aroma of hops. Rich taste and bitter freshness of hops are a subtle match. This especially soft and light beer is made of malt, hops, aromatic hops, beer yeast and fresh water.

ŠVYTURIO beer is appreciated by many Lithuanian beer lovers, because it is a perfect match of light freshness of GINTARINIS and rich taste of EKSTRA. Maybe because the label of this beer is red the beer lovers named it “red”. Almost all shop attendants reach for ŠVYTURYS refrigerator if they are asked for “red”.
This beer is sold in 0.5 litre bottles only.

Note: The beer was replaced by a 6% version in 2012, but the name was reverted to the 5% version in 2013, while the old version continued on as Švyturis Tradicinis.

ManVsBeer (10927) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2015
Bottle from Continental Food Store, Wakefield. Golden-blonde with next to no head. Slightly dry tasting with an ordinary lager taste.

SarkyNorthener (4765) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2015
Bottle from WB Stores, West Bromwich. Golden beer with large foam head. Aroma is sweetcorn and a touch of cereal grain. Taste follows suit. Quite softon the palate. Drinkable.

jmgreenuk (9864) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - DEC 26, 2014
Bottle from Lithuanica, Birmingham. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin whispy white head. The aroma is light malt. The flavour is light bitter with a malt hop, light weird tasting plastic palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty awful I must say.

DanielBrown (4528) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2014
Bottle from Lithuanica, Birmingham. Very pale. Very sweet. Dabs of sherbet in a morass of sweet, thin tea. I’ve had much better.

ogivlado (7955) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 4, 2014
Bottled 500ml. -from Rimi supermarket Vilnius. Straight from the bottle. Light grassy nose. Sweet malty, light grassy and some cardboard with hint of herbal hoppiness in the finish. Boring "red".

Rune (13372) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2013
500ml bottle, 5 % abv, shared by Gaute. Near clear, yellow coloured body. Airy white head reduced to a patchy layer. Faint, grassy nose with a fruity touch. Flavours of grain, herbal fruits and honey sweetness. Weak bitter endnotes, very dry. Possible to drink without further excitements (Tromsø 24.10.2013).

djoeye (5076) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 25, 2013
Bottle on 5%abv found at Norfa XL Marijampole Lithuania. Airy white head, some lacing, and yellow bright but not totally clear body. Aroma fruity, sour/sweet notes, some malts, and some hints towards wheat beer. Tastes malts at once, bright sweet malts. Mouthfeel some dry, but low bitter. Ends with bread, sweet malts, a bit dry but good. Good if they have actually reduced abv, coz it is very easy drinkable. Enjoyed 2013-10-24 at RateMeet with Rune.

Holmen1 (6304) - Stavanger, NORWAY - OCT 17, 2013
Flaske delt på brygga med Willy, som hadde håndimportert den: 5% iflg. etiketten, ikke 6%. utseende, aroma og smak som SIIP (standard internasjonal industripils). Ikke dårlig, bare kjedelig.
