COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ŠVYTURIO is, 5,0 % volume light beer of transparent gold colour and tender aroma of hops. Rich taste and bitter freshness of hops are a subtle match. This especially soft and light beer is made of malt, hops, aromatic hops, beer yeast and fresh water.

ŠVYTURIO beer is appreciated by many Lithuanian beer lovers, because it is a perfect match of light freshness of GINTARINIS and rich taste of EKSTRA. Maybe because the label of this beer is red the beer lovers named it “red”. Almost all shop attendants reach for ŠVYTURYS refrigerator if they are asked for “red”.
This beer is sold in 0.5 litre bottles only.

Note: The beer was replaced by a 6% version in 2012, but the name was reverted to the 5% version in 2013, while the old version continued on as Švyturis Tradicinis.

Ungstrup (38932) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 14, 2006
A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy, from a boring hop sort - and so is the flavor.

omhper (25949) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 18, 2002
Pale golden. Unpleasant adjunct aroma. Rather sweet, unclean mouthfeel, OK salty finish.

2.6
harrisoni (19535) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2007
500ml bottle. Golden with thin white head. Typical premium lager sickly aroma. Decent hop crispness on finish. Quite nice citrus flavour. Bit of nice hop sharpness.

TBone (18553) - Pori, FINLAND - MAY 16, 2011
Bottled 500ml (Maxima, Vilnius)
Pale yellow color, small white head. Aroma of corn and cardboard. Light body. Flavor is sweet corn-malty, cardboardish with harsh finish. Poor Baltian mass lager. One of the worst Svyturus products.

2.7
MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2008
Bottle, 5.0%. Clear golden colour, white head. The flavour is slightly sweet medium bitter. Good mouthfeel. Reminds me of hvidtÁøl even though it is nowhere near as sweet.

Rune (13727) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2013
500ml bottle, 5 % abv, shared by Gaute. Near clear, yellow coloured body. Airy white head reduced to a patchy layer. Faint, grassy nose with a fruity touch. Flavours of grain, herbal fruits and honey sweetness. Weak bitter endnotes, very dry. Possible to drink without further excitements (Tromsø 24.10.2013).

2.9
Mariusz (12300) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - SEP 6, 2012

500 ml bottle. From Lithuania. Courtesy of Brandman.
Clear pale golden colour with small white head. Malty aroma with some grassy notes. Grassy hops and sweetish caramel malts in flavour. Not bad.

2.3
allmyvinyl (11181) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 4, 2013
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours pissy yellow. No head. Low carbonation. Aromas of cooked corn and lime. Taste has an artificial bitterness, light malt. Meh.

2.3
ManVsBeer (11167) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2015
Bottle from Continental Food Store, Wakefield. Golden-blonde with next to no head. Slightly dry tasting with an ordinary lager taste.
