PorterPounder (8185) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Whole Foods. Sparkling medium copper pour, tight snow white head, light film of lace. Slight pineapple tropical bent to the spuce-like aroma. Solid citrus bitterness, some pineapple fruitiness, caramel sweetness. Decently thick mouthfeel. Solid effort. Can’t believe I am drinking a beer from Gainesville and enjoying it on the day of the FSU - Florida game.

berntholer (1617) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2015
light yellowish head leaves some lacing. amber colour. aroma is bit oxidized, caramel, strawberry, hops. taste like aroma, but with a long and very wry bitter finish, almost like all the tanins from the husks have been dissolved, unpleasant, some alcoholburn. quite dense body, medium carbonation. surely this wasn’t superfresh but the very wry bitter finish is really unpleasant. bottle 75cl

Light orange pour, white head. Lots of ruby red grapefruit flavors, not overly bitter but has a nice sweet malty base that balances the hops. Pretty nice IIPA.

Bottle. Dark burnt orange. Pine and candied citrus aroma. The taste is malt forward with some caramel and a big bitter finish. Very balanced. Sticky resinous feel, some booze on the finish, big and rich. Very Good all around. If you have the chance to check this out, don’t hesitate. --- Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
