Hazy orange colored pour. Huge off-white head. Big lacing. Orange aroma with some resiny pine notes. Taste is a big malt up front followed by an orange note with some resiny dank. Very nice. John25 (1291) - Middletown, New Jersey, USA - JAN 1, 2015
Bottle. Dark burnt orange. Pine and candied citrus aroma. The taste is malt forward with some caramel and a big bitter finish. Very balanced. Sticky resinous feel, some booze on the finish, big and rich. Very Good all around. If you have the chance to check this out, don’t hesitate. --- Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone Homer321 (5249) - Melboring, Florida, USA - NOV 22, 2014
Bottle. Pour is fairly clear, deep orange in color, with hints of red. Medium sized white head. Aroma is moderate citrus with some grassy notes as well. Taste is initially sweet. Definitely some caramel malts but balanced by a firm bitterness. Hop flavor is piney with some citrus. Overall a balanced ipa and clearly not a hop Bomb west coast style ipa. Alcohol is well hidden. Bottle share thanks to Homer321. hazy dark orange color. Earthy, danky, piney, sweet malt, mild fruit character. More of the danky piney character in the flavor, malty, caramel malt, a bit of boost in the finish. Ferris (17107) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 7, 2014
Draft - Orange, caramel and a bit of booze. Cloudy copper orange with a thin white head. Sweet caramel, orange and a bit of booze. Like a Barleywine with the big malt build. Nice, and a direct relative of Big Nose.

750 ml grabbed from the brewery just this week. Poured fresh. A beautiful dark orange pour, a little hazy, with a two finger off white head that is looking super creamy. Floral aroma, grapefruit, orange rinds, som big toffee malt sweetness. Flavor is very malt forward with lots of sweet caramel, then a good but of grapefruit and orange rind follow and linger. The mouthfeel is slick, low carbonation for the style, with a bright fruity character that leaves this lighter than it should be on the palate. Overall this was more malt forward than I had hoped--bordering on a fresh American Barleywine--but a nice beer nonetheless. Don’t expect a big citrus west coast IPA when going into this and it is enjoyable. jbruner (5466) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - DEC 12, 2013
Growler shared thanks to kantrauch! Pours a hazy golden brown with light bubbly head, lost some carbonation in transit. Aroma of bready caramel, sweet malt, slight medley of citrus hops on top. Taste follows, bittersweet bready grain. Syrupy but no hint of the booze. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. burg326 (5630) - Florida, USA - MAR 15, 2013
On draft at the Brass Tap in Trinity, poured a dark orange color with aromas of citrus, loads of pine and some grain. Flavors were pine, light citrus, caramel and more pine. A solid DIPA that I am very glad I finally got to try this one. cooplander (543) - Florida, USA - MAR 6, 2013
orange color, aroma of grapefruit and citrus fruits, caramel, same flavors, sweet caramel, somewhat light on the flavoring hops for a dipa deyholla (12589) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 11, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the Cajun Cafe Fall Fest. Pours a hazy amber with a yellowish brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has sweet grains and caramel with a thick sappy pine hop note. Flavor starts with more bitter pine has some sappiness and a bit of caramel in the finish to balance the bitterness.
