Aroma - deep coffee aroma, dark roasted malts, dark chocolate and some spicey character.
Appearance - Black as night. Fully opaque. One inch thick tan head that dissipates rather quickly.
Taste - muted roasted malts, burnt like but not sharp. Stale coffee, some chocolate and pronounced unbalanced bitterness. I taste a bit of oxidation.
Palate - medium full body, creamy rich texture as expected in an oatmeal stout. moderate carbonation. Astringency faint, almost absent. Finish is long and bitter almost to harsh level.
Overall - Very disappointing. Had this beer fresh and in the actual taste is where this one has deteriorated a lot. Now just a shadow. A coffee left behind.
On draft at the Mellow Mushroom. The pourbisba thinner light black with a thin ring of egg shell colored head and a decent lace. The aroma is light and sweet. There is a metallic malt and a sweet coffee to go with some light chocolate and a hint of roast. It’s got a decent complexity to it, but it seems light and thin. The flavor is just as you’d expect. It’s got the flavors, but it’s thin. Stronger coffee than chocolate and a metallic maltiness. The flavor is bitter, burnt coffee and chocolate. Not my kind of stout, but I know people who like ’em kinda burnt and roasty - this is one for you.

Dark brown body with a small tan head. Aromas of chocolate/coffee/smoke. Flavor is a little bitter with the taste of chocolate and roasted malts.

On tap @ Swamp Head. Black in color with a thin khaki head. Really nice coffee aroma. Kind of nutty, somewhat toasty, and a good bit of roasted malts. There’s plenty of licorice and dark cocoa, too. Flavor is more just roast forward and the carbonation is really lacking. It’s kind of chocolatey, I suppose. On tap at Gnarly Barley, Orlando. Sweet, butterscotchy coffee and molasses aroma with horehound candy and fudge accents. Opaque black under a lacy, tan collar and patch. Flavour is cappuccino and vanilla sauce, over a fudge brownie. Medium black malt bitterness. World class oatmeal coffee stout, by far the best of the (excellent) beers I’ve had today. Perfectly clear but obviously dark, aroma predominantly French roast coffee, Java from the west of the Island, Really nice balance, dry finish, I could drink this all day.
