@FBG Brewers Ball-on tap-tight tan-copper. A-dank/citrus-lemon. T-pine/spice hops, 2nd lt/med malt. hopscotch (11113) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 13, 2014
Bottle... Clear, deep, dark, Longhorn-orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose is all about the hops - peppery, spicy, dank and musky. Full-bodied and oily with tingly carbonation. Bitter citrus rindy and tannic hops dominate the flavor. Lengthy, lingering, bitter finish. I typically hate imperial red ales, but this is tolerable for me. Surprising, coming from Swamp Head. I don’t generally like their beers. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 20, 2015
750ml bottle, tasted during RBWG. Clear orange amber reddish color. Thin ring of off white head. Leaves good bits of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick finish. Toasty malt, some caramel malt. Some spicy citrusy grapefruity hop. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Pretty tasty, resiny hoppy stuff. drowland (8758) - Georgia, USA - FEB 10, 2012
2/10/12. On tap. Slightly hazed dark red pour with a big tan head that sticks. Slightly hoppy aroma, earthy and dank with a twinge of pine and citrus, on top of sweet caramels and a bit of chocolate. Rich flavor of caramel, slight roast, chocolate, tropical hoppiness, a touch of citrus, and a dash of hop bitterness. Not bad.
