Lots of coffee, very bitter. A little phenolic. Smooth finish. Some cherries maybe. Too bitter for me.

On tap at Aldgate as Aldgate Porter. Still not 100% sure if this is Swan Lake or Sankt Gallen. Pours dark brown, small beige head. Medium roastiness, dark chocolate, coffee, sweetish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle 330ml @ Ngne
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, chocolate, coffee and funk. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light sour with a long chocolate, coffee, funky and sourish finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Dont know if the tartness are intentional but its pretty good.

Tap. Appearance is black and bubbly, like cola without the foam. Aroma is not too strong but you get a bit of roasted malts. Taste is neutral, there is only a little bit of bitterness in it. Soft mouthfeel, carbonation is pretty easy as usual. Its an OK porter but nothing to write home about. Easy to drink for people not familiar with porters because its not that strongly flavoured.

On tap at Pub Edo. Dark chocolate, malt, molasses and coffee aromas present. Fairly well-balanced between bitter and sweet. Medium bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Once it comes to room temperature fig and prune flavors are also present while the chocolate and coffee tastes are still present. Nice smooth finish with some espresso bitterness.

Draught at Bungalow in Kyoto.
Fairly light tasting almost like a schwarz. Chocolate aroma. Some flavours of coffee roast and chocolate bitterness. Not bad.

Classic porter character, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee beans. Nothing special but quite a drinkable fine porter.
