Pours a very cloudy, dark orange in color with a thin white head. The aroma consists of sugar, floral hops, orange, caramel, some alcohol, and milder herbal hops. The taste initially brings candy to mind. Its sweet, but not sweet enough to mask the taste of alcohol. In addition to the booze, I get the flavors of toffee, spice, vanilla, raisin, and apple, lesser herbal hops, and mild orange. The aftertaste is strong and short sweet toffee. Its medium in body, with a smooth texture, and is average in carbonation. This is another offering that I would have enjoyed much more if it wasn’t so sweet. Cokemonkey11 (1084) - - OCT 30, 2016

On tap at Bungalow it pours a dense milky orange brown with a beige head and an intensely fruity citrus and sweet bread pudding aroma.
Medium to full bodied and velvety smooth. This beer melds bold citrus, bitter pine and rich bread and grains with graham, honey and fruit.

2014 version on tap at Swan Lake Pub Tete. Hazy brown color. Initially its a Sweet malty nose with apricots and citrusy notes, but some strong hops underneath that. . Candied fruit and grapefruit notes dominate the mouth. Fairly boozy, even two years into. I mean very boozy. Not the most complex brew in the world. A very good, unique barleywine. Pours a bright, cloudy unfiltered orange with a white head. Smells awesome, of candied orange. Taste is thick, unfiltered, a barleywine base but almost more farmhouse taste, with a triples complexity. Lots of orange, vanilla and barleywine backing. Had in the bottle.

12 ounce bottle from John’s. Pours a mostly clear bright orange color with a medium white head. A big sweet nose, pale malts, some toffee. Light citrus, oranges, yeasty dry at times, more pale malts, a bit of oxidation- who knows how old this is. A decent very English style BW. Enjoyable. Bottle, at Miga in Champain. Very hazy golden Amber with an off white head. Toasty caramel, brown sugar, low bitterness. Simple but pleasant.
