Cask, hand-pulled, Jolly Judge, Edinburgh (22 May 2015), pine, citrus aroma, golden, amber with a good off-white head, intermittent lacing, grapefruit, tropical fruits flavour, very easy to drink. sound67 (784) - Offenbach, GERMANY - JUL 14, 2015
[Scottish Real Ale Festival, Edinburgh, 2015] - Highland Brewing Company, Batch 1488, 5.5% (IPA). Golden yellow, clear. Small fluffy head. Oranges and medicinal notes in the aroma. Light body, watery. Sweetish and bitter at the start: ripe oranges, but also pinewood. The medicinal notes make it somewhat strange, unpleasant. Very floral in the middle, slight sweetness prevails. A little soapy. Finish is bitter hops, pinewood (now a little resinous), as is the aftertaste. If it weren’t for the unpleasant medicinal notes at the start this could be a solid imitation APA. nihtila (3912) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 12, 2015

Cask at Cloistered. It pours lightly hazy golden amber with a decent white head. The nose is orange, salted preserved lemon, hay, light caramel and biscuit. The taste is bitter-sweet, piney, lemon cheesecake, sherbet, lime, peach, peppery grapefruit, toasty grass and some floral action with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent.
