Malty, earthy flavor. A drinkable IPA...one of those "all day" IPAs. Not too much kick in the mouth, but enough to let you know you’re having a beer. Overall i enjoy this one...great on a summer afternoon for sure.

420 is probably Sweetwater's most available beer. I've drank it a number of times and don't know why I haven't reviewed it yet. The aroma is all the Cascade hops. The appearance is pleasant, something darker than golden but not amber, with excellent carbonation. The palate is proper to the style, malty enough to support the hops but not distinctive. Overall, a very drinkable beer and a good beer with most seafood.

wow, could there be a better example of the non-beer creations of the "crafty" movement????????? where is there anything other than hops in this stuff???? oh and we have the crafty mandatory "fresh" date on the bottle. wow, how did we ever drink beer before the "fresh" date was stamped on a bottle of beer that has been fermenting for MONTHS????? yet, crafties will crow 24/7 about all the "flavors" they taste in this stuff. really? I taste hops and....hops and.....hops...hmmmm, I am seeing a trend.

Canned - best by 03/16/18 on a Delta flight. Pours clear honey color, white frothy head. Aroma is caramel, grapefruit, orange, grassy, sweet nose. Flavor follows - orange, caramel, grass, grapefruit. Again it's quite sweet and actually not too bad.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2017 Had while watching breaking bad with Abby. Poured from can to a Coca Cola glass. Pours hazy orange with a small head and a lot of bubbly activity. Label is nice and I love the bottle shape. Smell is grapefruit hops with some dank/floral stuff. Taste is balanced with significant breadth/caramel malt along with some grassy hop bitterness. Medium bitterness and light sweetness. Good carbonation and medium/thick mouthfeel. Dry finish that lingers. Overall, I really dig it! Hangs with good IPA’s for complexity and bitterness without trying to do too much.

Dorky stoner pun aside, like a lot of Sweetwater stuff, this beer is best described as "soft.". That's a compliment, mostly. Easy drinking, hides the alcohol well, but not super crisp like a lot of newer APAs. It's dialed in perfectly to "medium.". Perfectly adequate and well constructed. The 4th tastes just as good as the first.

(12oz bottle) AROMA: grapefruit, tart apple, corn/grain APPEARANCE: medium straw yellow, slightly hazy, thin yet oily head, good lacing, TASTE: sweet malt, citrus, tropical fruit, soft graininess, *something else*, not too bitter PALATE: light/medium body, fresh, sparkly, good balance OVERALL: nice and drinkable IPA, fruity and fresh, light sweetness balances well with the moderate hoppiness, i could drink several of these.

Not the best pale ale. Bitter but not so much hops. And they charge 92kr or something like 10-10,25 $ in Stockholm.

(can) hazy golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of grapefruit, sweatsocks and sugar icing, slightly resinous, with a light hint of canned peaches and some grass. flavour is mostly caramelized malts and herbal hops, slightly starchy, with some notes of custard, mango juice and a light-bitter earthy finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

12 oz can, dated 12/22/17. Pours hazy straw gold with a big frothy white head that quickly diminishes to a thinnish film that laces the glass some.

The aroma is sweet bready caramel malt with fruity hops.

The flavor is sweet bready caramel malt with some fruity resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice fruity hoppy pale.

Courtesy of Delta airlines. Poors light hazy amber, dense head, good lacing. Aroma and taste very hoppy: tropical fruits, resinous, mild bitterness. Decent body, slightly grainy finish. A bit 13 in a dozen but very tasty and refreshing.
