Rich dark chocolate and a touch of vannilin. Big bodied. Aroma of oak and alcohol. This is a big beer that’s put together with skill. brigg (672) - Washington DC, USA - APR 28, 2017

Shared bottle. Poured turbid and dark blackish with clingy, light brown head. Nose was dark malt, oak, bourbon, black licorice, vanilla. Rich flavor, not super dense, a tad hot, with dark malt, oak, bourbon, anise, vanilla in the flavor. zoucrew102 (1816) - - APR 10, 2017
750ml corked bottle. Rich chocolate aroma with notes of vanilla, bourbon, coffee and oak. Pours black with a very thin light brown head that has no retention or lacing. Starts with sweet chocolate flavors with a little bit of coffee as well as a rich, full body and slick, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth with excellent bourbon, vanilla and oak flavors with a hint of warming booze. Excellent! Maverick34 (3212) - New York, USA - MAR 12, 2017

Flat 750 ml bottle from Lost Abbey? (flat like some of Tommy’s beers of yore) but actually from Tavour. Black with a tiny partial layer of tan bubbles. Nose is chocolate, very light vanilla, tobacco, and bourbon. Flavor is lightly sweet with a hint of bourbon and a mild alcohol warmth. Decent and drinkable. Pours like motor oil and extremely little suds. Aroma however is potently oaky and sweet. Carbonation remains but subtle and heavy on the palate.
