Poured into a seidel. A deep red/copper color with a dirty-white finger of head. The color is perfect.
Smells like hops. Lots of fresh grapefruit and a little lemon.
Tastes more like an IPA. Moderate malt flavors: sorta sweet. Big bitter profile piled on right afterwards though. And it doesn’t stop even after the drink is done. The biting bitterness of grapefruit is most prevalent.
Creamy and chewy texture. Surprising but really nice. Moderate carbonation.
Great and surprisingly unique red ale. The flavor was good but the look and texture were amazing.
Rated based on notes taken 18 Dec 2011 -- A beer my buddies bought a growler of for me returning home for Christmas Break. This beer is delicious. I wish I could find more of this because it is addictive. Amazing malt body and some really really good hop characteristics. decaturstevo (6342) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAY 27, 2013

Bottle. Gift from my friend Noel. Gorgeous copper pour with a tall, fluffy tan head. Lots of caramel and malt in the aroma along with soft citrus, floral hops, pine and resins. Taste is big caramel, chewy malt, floral hops, pine resins, citrus notes, toffee and hints of tropical fruit. Body is medium-full and rather chewy with a dense, creamy carbonation. Finishes with more caramel, chewy , sweet malt, pine notes, hop resins, soft citrus and pleasant floral notes. Damn tasty! RolkaNation (141) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 26, 2012
Bottle poured into snifter. Gorgeous ruby red/brownish color with an inviting, ample just off-white head that retains nicely. Wonderful aroma full of burnt caramel, slight biscuit, earthy hops, and booze. I even get a hint of Belgian dubble like dark fruit and chocolate notes. Taste is nice with a slightly sweet front before transitioning to bitter hoppiness. A caramel, sticky finish tops it off. Overall, a strong beer. Taste doesn’t quite live up to the fantastic nose, but good drinkin’. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 1, 2012
In short: A sticky malted burgundy ale with powerful resinous hops. Good tasty stuff.

How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh about 2 weeks after receiving it from grownfool, thanks a lot Brian
The look: Murky burgundy body topped by a medium off-white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is hops resin, red berries, soft red liquorice candy. Taste has a very heavy malt backbone with a rich fruity toffee/caramel and lost of biscuits. That beer packs a lot of sweetness but the aggressive hoping makes you forget about it. Resinous, hop cones, pine needles and more… I’ve had beers similar to this that were classified as Double IPA here on ratebeer. It’s now past midnight, I’m on my third beer and I’m typing to type this rating but my fingers are all orange and gross, so I just an epiphany… the craftbeer industry is funded by the Cheetos industry!!!
This poured an amber color with a white head. The aroma contained some caramel, yeasty notes, and citrus. The flavor is slightly hoppy but has a nice malty balance. Some dark fruits, caramel, and citrus is showing up. The finish has a slightly boozy presence with a hint of bitterness. Overall this was a fairly nice beer. Bottle. The pour was a murky chestnut brown with an average sized (1-2 finger) light beige rocky head that reduced after a short while to a few puddles and a medium collar of residue, letting forth some excellent sticky streaks of lace.
The aroma was of a dark bread malt, a moderate pine hop and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel, dark fruit and a bit of citrus (grapefruit).
The taste was a little sweet and yeasty with a note of caramel early on, but got extremely hoppy very quickly with a big dose of citrus and a mild touch of dark fruit towards the end. The flavor lasted average duration after the swallow with a nice lightly sweet citrus hoppiness left to linger.
Mouthfeel was just under medium in body with as dry texture and a soft carbonation.
Overall a good and hoppy Strong Ale with a nice mild sweetness to it...

Bomber from Sam’s, Durham. Fairly healthy looking amber pour, with a big roil initially but a quick dissipation. Nose of aromatic fruit and some sharp hops. Mouthfeel is strangely thin, and the palate a bit hot. Taste is excessively sweet, making the hops taste almost artificially fruity but with a blast of heat in the finish.
