On the farm way too long, ol McDanko began showing some worrisome tendencies. Following a solid session in the hot box smoking malt, he was overcome by a methane cloud emoted from the herd. Ya heard? Reaching for the hops, he goofed and grabbed porky by the e-i-e-i-oh and plopped her in the brew kettle slow and low that is the tempo. Knock knock whos them? Its McDankos inbred neighbor, Geri Reynolds, swinging by delivering his deliverance with some fat back hem and some fat back them. Stepping out past some Foxy brothers picking a banjo on the porch to sample his wares, McDanko, doubled over the chopping block and squealed like a pig wieii wieii proclaiming this to be the most bodacious bacon beer brewed this side of the Chattoog-a!

Can. Dark brown with a thin tan cap. Aroma of smoke, sweet meats and malt. A touch Cola like and bitter in the flavor. The smoke is aggressive, and the bacon is moderate. Pretty nice, with a prickly feel. Gotta be in the mood.

Bottle thanks to monmisreal, on January 31, 2017.
If I remember correctly the bottle was picked up at Luekens in Dunedin.
Clear deep brown color, tan to yellow/brownish head. Malty, herbal, leafy hoppy, light chocolate scent. Spicy, malty, meaty taste. Meaty, light roasted aftertaste, some liquorice. Medium full mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Smoke jumps out at you on the nose first thing. The bacon really porks you on the first taste. The roasty comes through with some coffee. If there was side of eggs this would be the primo breakfast beer. I bought the 4x16, had 2 the first day. I will save the other 2 for 2 seperate occasions. I really like this beer smokey porky roasty

I think this is one of those one time beers but not in a bad way. Its just too novel to drink all the time. I cant get over how smoky it is. And thank christ, theres a ton of bacon. Its like sweet sugary bacon and it plays perfectly with the roasty, smoky porter. I actually get more of the bacon in the taste than the aroma. Taste is much more sweet chocolate and smoke which balance each other nicely. Definitely happy I picked this up, its really delicious and all the flavors work so well and dont overpower. I love that I can pick up bacon, chocolate, smoke and subtle coffee separately. This could have been a weird mess but its not and Im geeking out hard on it.

Black pour, smoke and roasted malts dominate the nose. Bacon taste first followed by smoke. Bitter hop finish. Cant drink more than one in a night, but nice change of pace beer.

473ml can. Pours a pretty dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma is roasted/smoked malt and fruity yeast esters. Flavor is fruity smoke, some cocoa, not very full-flavored, and a bit dull for a smoke beer. Credit for using the word inbred on the can though.

$2.90 pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours dark brown with an inch of tan head. Aroma is coffee, rubber, earth, smoke. The interesting thing is that up close this doesnt smell like bacon to me, but from a food away I kinda smell bacon. Flavor is smoked meat - not necessarily bacon, earth, coffee, chocolate. It could be more bacony or more smoked.

16 oz can. Very dark root beer colored pour with a thick light brown head and great retention. Spotty lacing. Light smoked bacon nose. Taste is much smokier than the nose. The smoke overwhelms any bacon flavor. Slight medicinal finish. 7.7 ABV is well hidden. Not bad, but I wouldnt seek it out.

Pours a dark ruby-brown with a nearing perfect khaki-colored, excellently retaining head. This beer looks like fake beers on staged show home dining room tables. Its remarkable how long the head persists. Lightly smoky on the nose. Plasticky and chemical aromas too. More smoky BBQ come through in the flavor. Some of that chemical plastickiness is noted as well.
