Pours a nice clear sienna with a thick and rather persistent buff head. Malty aroma has a strong hoppy and woody overtone, more like an IPA. Flavor fills the mouth with woody hops, fresh malt, resin and earthy notes. Watch out, ol’ Red Hot Mama will sneak up on ya! Some sips have a whisper of caramel, varnish or even cloves. Texture is quite firm and somewhat fizzy. Get dank in this tank, y’all. raradel (343) - Atlanti Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 26, 2013
Special beer. One of the best styles with that signature sweetwater taste that makes all their beer good! It was hard to critic this one but only thing I wanted is an imperial type body. Other than that, it’s a red hot mama!! SSSteve (4006) - - OCT 26, 2013
bottle. deep ruby with small beige head. sugary lemony candy aroma. nice and sweet with fruity spicy hops. almost like a hint of spicy cinnamon. amarillo? eldorado? with the centennial. i like the balance. medium bodied. metalhead0043 (207) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 12, 2014
22 oz bottle for 9 bucks. Pours a very dark reddish copper color with a huge light tan head. Aroma is huge caramel malt with slight pine hops and a little doughy as well. Taste is not very big on the malt flavors though. This one is mostly a piney/floral hop, a little sweet on the back end with a smooth bitterness. Body is medium, creamy and slightly slick. This is another fine addition to the Dank Tank series. Drake (14061) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 1, 2014
Bomber from Shenanigans Lexington. Pours a dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big grapefruit notes, toffee malts, mild earthy hop notes. The taste is strong grapefruit, tart lemon, toffee malt. Medium bodied, average carbonation, smooth, balanced. Nice beer.

Rated on notes from a tasting on 26 Dec 2013 -- Had on tap back home, Fort Walton Bch, FL. A nice red, nothing remarkable. Well, maybe the way you could drink several without realizing the potency. Paincane (170) - Georgia, USA - AUG 18, 2014
Mahogany brew w/ tan head, good lacing & head retention. Bready, smoky malt & floral aromas. Sweet maltiness at start, ending hoppy & spicy. jrob21 (3774) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Brown with a red tinge. Would have put a lot of money on this being some sort of red ale. Fruity and full of hops and really nice. One o my more favorite dank tanks I can remember. Sweet caramel malt flavors. Aroma is grassy and citrusy and getting me all excited for the sip to come. And it comes with full body and a lot of malt backbone. Lots of toffee leading into a smooth finish with a touch of bitterness citru on the back end. A big hippy beer that doesn’t scrape the enamel off your teeth. Well done. Burping some lemon citrus. Poured into a pint glass out of a 22oz bomber.
Pours a clear deep reddish-brown with a thick one finger dark tan head. Amazing head retention and lacing that is very long lasting.
The aroma has a certain chocolately character to it as well as grapefruit and pineapple. Some candy/bubblegum and caramel as well.
The bubblegum/candy sweetness carries over into the taste. There is grapefruit and pineapple from the hops but is lingers below a heavy chocolate/caramel/tootsie roll malt presence. Mouthfeel is on the thick side with a good bit of stickyness.
Overall, I like this beer but I feel it might lean a little too much towards the malty side and is a bit sticky. The hops are great but I wish they were a little more up front. A sipper for sure but a good beer.

Albany, Ga. - Warehouse Package Store - 22 oz bomber. Pours a deep dark brown with a thick khaki colored head that leaves a thick trail of lacing. Aroma has some heavy spruce accents, a touch of brown sugar. Full-bodied flavor with some fruity cherry notes, some bittersweet citrus notes, some brown sugar sweetness and a touch of caramel. Mouthfeel has a nice thickness to it. Pretty solid entrant from Sweetwater.
