3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Actually a pretty limp looking porter, very little head, minimal lacing - mahogany pour. A hefty dose of chocolate, molasses, toasted malts and coffee. Some earthiness and tobacco - aromas last a while. medium bodied w/ low carb a rounded mouthfeel. The sweetness of roasted malts comes through with plenty of chocolate. This is well-balanced with coffee bitterness and spice hop on the finish. I seek out a few of these each winter.
Beautiful dark body, nice head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee with some nice hops. Smooth, sweet, roasty, and slightly bitter. Paigeturner (101) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 9, 2015
Good porter with toasty aroma, flavor is lean but refreshing. Finishes dry with no aftertaste. God that there is no bad aftertaste, a little more roast at end would have been nice. Overall good porter. rdixon77 (2944) - Georgia, USA - APR 8, 2015
Old rating. Run of the mill porter. Dark brown pour. Roast, chocolate, some tart presence. Medium bodied. Just okay. AirForceHops (7679) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 3, 2015
12 oz bottle thanks to my buddy Matt B. Fast vanishing head in a shaker glass. Aroma is molasses, charred barley and mild roast.

Lighter - medium in body with a soft carbonation level. The flavor is baseline for the style with some mild lingering roast and chocolate. Burnt coffee bean and sugar. Drinkable and enjoyable.
"pretty nice hop and dark malt balance here. slightly sweet leaning, but light-medium on the palate. lots of roast in the aroma...a little more subdued in the flavor, with hints of cocoa, and molasses. pretty nice, even well past it’s best by date."

Chocolate and roasted malt. Toasty caramel with nice rounded yeast esters. Super delicious. My favorite beer from sweetwater. This was a 2012 bottle. I believe they don't bottle this anymore. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - JUN 20, 2014
Reviewed from notes. Rcvd in trade.
This one was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy brown color. The head was about a finger’s worth that died in about a minute and left some adequate lacing.
The smell had a nice blend of roasty sweet chocolate with an ample amount of coffee notes to intrigue my nose.
The taste had a nice roasty sweet flavoring rolling over my taste buds.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice smoothness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a really nicely done Porter very worthy of having again. GreatDane1632 (1169) - North Dakota, USA - MAY 8, 2014
Rated from notes taken at the brewery -- Shared this fresh off the brite tank with Will the brewer! Great porter, would love to drink this year-round. chinchill (5226) - South Carolina, USA - APR 9, 2014
This Bob Marley tribute beer was served in pint glass at the brewery.
A - opaque and nearly black but with noticeable brown coloration. Off-white head quickly turns to a top coat but leaves a nice coating on the glass as the liquid is drained.
S - caramel & roasted malt
T - rich; crisp for a porter; primary taste seems to be well-roasted malt
M - full; fairly smooth but with a very slight bite.

Bottle thanks to SSSteve. This one evidently ages well. Nose is tootsie roll, bready, toffee, light toasty chocolate. Flavor is similar with a light sweet and floral hop finish. Really nice and the best beer I’ve had from sweet water.
