COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPAs lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If youre at the brewery youll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

Malt: 2 Row, Pale Malt, Munich, 70-80 Crystal, Wheat

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2005 The more of this beer I drink the more it is becoming one of my favorite IPAs Nice crisp, clean hoppiness that goes down smooth. 7/12/2002: The BIG hoppiness of this one will hit you right between the eyes from the first sip to the last. Nice bright orange color with little head retention. If you like your IPAs hoppy then this is the beer for you.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2013 2004 - Clear Amber with little white head. Disappointed for my first attempt at sweetwater. reminded me of typical microbrew "copper" ale. Decent hoppiness but a little soapy. edit 2013 - my favorite beer. I live in FL now and maybe its because the beer travels less but the flavors and hops are perfect. I buy this beer everyweek

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2009 This one pours a deep, hazy, almost opaque coppery amber with a thick, orangy-tan head that sticks around for a bit. Aroma is strong and very evergreenish. Flavor is seriously hoppy, like drinking a pine tree, with just a whisper of sweetness, and mildly bitter. Texture is smooth and jazzy, very pleasing, leaving an evergreen aftertaste. I have had this in a bottle, and it is better on-tap! Strongly recommended to all hops fans.

My go to IPA. Superb! Do not believe the listing of using columbus and golding hops. I have read that simcoe is used? Regardless, this IPA is awesome. Rock on Sweetwater!

Strong citrus aroma and taste. Grapefruity. The bottle says " This is the beer youve been training for" and that is right.

Pours a medium gold color. Leaves a nice head which thins out. A very enjoyable IPA which is slightly bitter in a finish. Ive been extremely impressed with this beer.
