Taste of hops, malt and rye in this bad boy. If you like Straight To Ale’s Hell or Rye Water, you’ll like this. Has an earthy finish...pretty awesome brew.

Pours hazy orange with a medium white head. Smells of fruity citrus and spicy rye. Taste mildly bitter, with a strong citrus punch and a kiss of rye. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Terrapin LowRYEder finishes with a mild lingering spice.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2013 Rerate had to bump up .1. Its just amazing. Hope they dont drop the gravity. 2/13. This is a top notch low gravity IPA. This really is what a good IPA is about. Spicy is greatness with a balance to sweetness and good mouth feel. An excellent IPA is the best way to descripe! Great. Aroma has a sweet hit. I’d love to see a double Lowryeder.

Outstanding IPA. Sweet water has done it again. Just enough rye in the taste to make it different than the regular IPA. Great.

Very solid IPA. Aroma is hops and rye. Flavor is hoppy and also rye pour is a nice golden amber with a thin white head.

On tap at the brewery. Excellent hoppy brew. The aroma is a blast of serious hops, much like their IPA, perhaps with more pine. The rye is strong which gives this a great dryness. Lots of grassy herbs and citrus bite in the flavor and a long lasting zesty finish. I am very excited to have this available. Another winner from Sweetwater!

Pours a bright amber with a foamy white head. Aroma of rye malts and citrus hops and bubblegum. Taste a lot of rye malts with citrus rinds. Hints of floral hops and sweet caramel malts. Light and sticky on the palate. Not sweet like the nose leads to believe, but very enjoyable and balanced. So easy to drink. This is so refreshing, would make a great lake beer.

12 oz. Light haze on the orange-golden body. Lasting quarter inch of sticky meringue on top. Big, fresh nose of orange Creamsicle, sticky evergreen resin and mango. Tastes of orange zest, fresh honey-toasted grain, peppery rye, and resin. Almost-medium body is well balanced with a very dry finish; has more carbonation than I like but is still very drinkable.

Crisp and hoppy. A real nice beer. Going off my abbreviated notes from my time in Augusta, GA. I’m becoming a big fan of rye IPAs.
