Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, thin off-white head. Spruce and mint in the aroma. Flavor has a nutty essence to it, some subtle grapefruit induced citrusy bitterness, a touch of mint. Mouthfeel could be a bit thicker, but not a detractor. Decent.

rbrazell (1763) - Florida, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Medium golden pour with a loose white head that fades quick. Somewhat weak aroma of zesty citrus hops, mild rye spice and crystal malts. Sweet tropical fruitiness up front with caramel malts leading into a spicy rye and citrusy bitter finish.

Draft at Pack’s Tavern. Pours orange with a thin white head. The most prominent note on the nose is the rye. There’s som eye on the tongue along with some citrus thing. Clean finish. I don’t think the rye complements the beer very well. It’s all a but muddled.

On draft at Tampa Brewing Co. Decided to go with something light and easy to drink, I was more thirsty then anything. Light floral aroma with a little bit of citrus. Nothing really stood out but it wasn’t terrible.

Pours an amber color. Light lacing. Not much rye on the nose but some floral hops. Not a bad IPA but not much flavor from the rye either. A bit disappointing

Appearance: not transparent, an orange color, pours with a small beige head that fades away fast Aroma: bread, butter, malt, some faint hop earthiness Taste: strong malt presence, pine bitterness, Palate: lively carbonation, leaves mouth very dry, moderate mouthfeel Overall: I feel like this beer has such a strong malt backbone that it almost takes the spotlight from the hops, still a good beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle in a trade with Darren. Best by 12/04/2013. Sampled 11/05/2013. Hazy amber gold hue with lively bubbles from the Co2. Traces of lacing. Smells of a standard amber type ale, toasted pale malt, caramel, hints of floral hops. Flavor starts with rye bread, toasted grain body with citrus and rye in the finish. Medium body with a drying texture on the tongue. Balanced well enough, good but nothing really stands out to me with this one.
