Cask, with extra Mt Hood hops added. Minimal off-white head, lightly hazy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, some lemon. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, some bread, light lemon. Light-medium body, low carbonation. Braudog (6678) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Draft at the ATL airport concourse A tap. Pure amber with a quintessential American look. This drinks with a mashy hoppiness, but is fairly thin. The finish is kinda snappy, with an almost apple tinge. (#4773, 9/8/2012) Emeister84 (2481) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 1, 2013
Aromas of honey, pine, and a little pepper. Clear orange-gold with a fairly lasting, white head. Dry and slightly bitter with mild apricot and citrus notes. Light bodied and clean with a mild peppery spice. A little lacking in structure, but pretty decent. jcnielsen (3403) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Bottle picked up in Augusta, GA. Pours a copper color with white head. Rye, caramel, earthy, bitter flavors. Meh. Quick3Beers (1210) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 26, 2016
Pours a murky brownish from a bottle, citrus and pine smell and flavor along with a bit of sour breadiness. Okay beer.

Interesting beer. Nice color and aroma and taste. The rye definitely makes a difference. Malty_MacHops (688) - Eastanollee, Georgia, USA - FEB 5, 2013
Grapefruit aromas with a touch of grain. Hazy orange with a full white cap. Bitter with citrus notes and only a mild touch of rye spiciness. Medium bodied with a bitter dry finish. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 1, 2012
Bottle. Orange reddish golden with small frothy off white head. Nose is resinous and sweet cheesy hops. Flavor has some citrus, more sweet resin, light onion, cheesy hops. No thanks. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 20, 2013
Bottle. Golden color with a large head. Aroma is grains and not as much hops as one would think for an IPA, a tad of citrus. Taste was surprisingly missing of hops also. Overall not a bad beer. Not great but it really was a thirst quencher oobawa (1318) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 23, 2017
Bland rye ale, neither dipping enough into IPA or rye beer territory, instead insisting on a biscuity malt heaviness that cancels out any IPA fury. A good IPA for your mother-in-law, I guess.
