Pours a slightly hazy golden orange from the bottle with fluffy off-white head and great lacing. Aroma of citrus from the hops and faint spiciness from the rye. Taste follows, with a bitter finish and a lasting herbal note. Well balanced, solid beer. TravHimself (38) - mebane, North Carolina, USA - JAN 8, 2013
Pours a nice hazy golden orange with a one finger head that doesn’t stick around for long but leaves some spotty lacing, nose is tangerine and grape fruit, taste follows suit with a nice creamy texture on the palate, moderate carbonation,a good solid rye ipa..cheers DominickMondi (13) - - FEB 23, 2013
I think this is a pretty darn good IPA. It has the characteristic strong hop bitterness, but the slight rye spice is very much welcomed. Slight grapefruit, but mostly fresh, a little grassy nose. Good beer.

This is an excellent ipa. Smells nice and fruity and goes down really smooth. Has a real nice amount of hops and is not too bitter. Will drink many of these

Sweetwater LowRYEder IPA has a medium, off-white head, a hazy, orange-gold appearance, a few streaming bubbles, and some thin lacing left behind. The aroma is faint, but one can detect citrus, hop oil, and bread crust. Taste is very much of mild grapefruit, with some white bread, white bread crust, sweetness, low bitterness, and a shade of peppery rye. Mouthfeel light to medium and a bit slick. Sweetwater LowRYEder finishes dry, refreshing, sweet, and easy going. Overall, this is very good, but not particularly different. RJT

Reviewed from notes. Rcvd in trade.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow to orange color with a nice looking one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute.
The smell had a nice allocation of Rye malt to spicy hops.
The taste was mainly spicy with a touch of sweetness to it.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly nice sessionability about it. The carbonation was nice and sharpness about it.
Overall, this was a pretty well done Rye IPA. SpringsLicker (3638) - Tennessee, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Pours cloudy dark yellow with a sticky white head.
Big citrus hop aroma with juicy malts.
The flavor has a distinct pineapple juice note to it. Nicely tart and bitter.

This poured a yellowish orange color with a white head. The aroma contains some rye but more citrus is showing through IPA style. The flavor is rather bitter with some citrus, namely oranges, and pine. Again the rye is a bit hard to detect but it aint no thang for me. Overall this is a good beer. decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Orange pour with white head. Aroma is bready, citurs hops, and the rye. Medium malt, with a nice hoppy bitter, a bito breadiness. Medium body with a tad aggressive carbonation. nice beer.
