12 ounce bottle from emacgee. Pours dark red with plenty of tan head the leaves some nice lace. The nose is bready and pretty sweet with an earthy hop character. The flavor is balanced with slightly over cooked biscuits with a touch of jam, and earthy and herbal hop bitterness. Fuller body and a bit sticky. Balanced finish. Certainly enjoyable. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 12, 2008
Dark reddish-brown with a thin off white head that settles to a cover. Aroma of sweet candy, caramel and toffee. Strong bitter malts, mostly sweet with a good hoppy earthy bitterness. BustedFlat (554) - Edina, Minnesota, USA - DEC 5, 2008

Dark brown pour. A bit sweet for my taste. Seems fairly true to the style, but would love a little more b with my esb. decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - NOV 29, 2008

Medium head, halfway mango-amber, dense, over very slightly hazed darker orange-amber beer. Grape/raisins cake with hoppy & lytchee aromas. Hops, but especially leafy/earthy flavours. Bitterness comes after a general sweetish-malty impression. Bit fiery MF, not very well-bodied. Palate falls a bit dead, leaving only indifferent bitterness. Beautiful nose, great flavours, but average finish. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 16, 2008
Bottle courtesy of daknole. Pours copper with a nice white head. Smells of caramel and sweet malt. Tastes of pepper, caramel, spice, some earthy compliments on the finish. kimcgolf (872) - Dacula, Georgia, USA - OCT 30, 2008
Poured to a bright copper color with medium off-white head that lingered thru mid glass and left okay lacing. Aroma was hoppy citrus and the mouthfeel full and slightly bitter. Taaste was a follow-up of the bitter hoppy citrus, with an undertoen of malty sweetness at midglass. Rounded to a nice, full warming finish, with just the right amount of dryness.

Thanks to Ian for the bottle. Pours a nice reddish brown with a thin white head. Citrus hop and caramel malt aroma. Nice medium thick body with lots more caramel malt and big citrus hops hops. Tasty and easy to drink. emacgee (4674) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Pours a red orange copper with a one finger frothy off white head. The nose is sweet, citrusy hops, pretty pungent, has a nice (American) hop character laid over a prominent malt character. The flavor is sweet, citrusy hops, hop presence, malty, orange peel, light bitterness, lightly subdued. The palate is thin waxy with a light body.
