Draft sample at Knoxville Brewers Jam 2010. Cloudy pale in the glass with a creamy white head that left light lace. Yeasty aroma. The flavor found a clove and lemon mix. Light body. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - MAY 16, 2010
12 oz. bottle otakuden (1783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 3, 2011
Appearance Pours a cloudy, bright yellow gold with a pillowy white head. The foam leaves behind spotty lace.
Aroma: Bread dough, banana, citrus essence.
Taste: Spicy hops, fruity yeast, banana. Finishes clean and bitter.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate fizz.
Overall: Pretty enjoyable for a style I don’t go after. I got this pretty fresh, so the hops are standing out quite nicely.
Appearance: clear yellow under a lingering white head surrounded by a weak bubbly collar. Swirls with minimal head and not much else.
Finhead (1757) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Nose: touch of lemon mixed in with bread crusts, husked grains, a dash of cracked pepper, and raw citric skins.
Palate: American wheat all the way. Soft breads mingle with lemon skins, the bitterness lingering in the back. Cracked pepper in the breath while toasted bread crusts and raw grains dance along the edges. Softest up front with a full middle and finish.
Final Thoughts: another solid brew from Sweetwater. Now if only they were available in southern Florida life would be gooder.
A hazy, yellow pour with a white head. It has a wheat aroma with just a hint of lemon. The medium body has a slick texture with lively carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with dry finish. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 16, 2010
A decent offering, well worth the money and i’d possibly get it again. Just didn’t knock my socks off.Pretty run of the mill wheat beer, a little more full flavored, but still a tad bland. very drinkable though.

Bottle on Gameday. Fairly nondescript. Refreshing but not really too fantastic. Could be because I was pounding 420s all day and that’s got some serious flavor. That and I’m spoiled with tasty wheats at home. CheersMate (1343) - Portland (Sellhood), Oregon, USA - APR 22, 2010
12 oz. bottle from Mac’s on West Peachtree. Head was fluffy, but now it is not. Yellow haze body. Looks decent, but nothing spectacular here. Did they just slap a new name on an old beer i.e., Sch’Wheat = Hummer? If so, Sweetwater is lame. I can’t really remember Hummer after 3 years, but oh well. Light citrus aroma. Someone else noted cream; I couldn’t agree more with you on that note, excellent observation. Old orange juice aroma and cream. This is a fairly pungent brew. The flavor is decent, but nothing spectacular. That old orange juice and cream flavor are there again. Nothing popping here. This one doesn’t seem fresh, although it should be. Texture is almost, in my mind, watered down. For some reason I remember liking hummer better than this, but I am giving this a higher score. jw0406 (1275) - atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 29, 2011
12 oz bottle pours a cloudy yellow color with a nice white head. Aromas of hay, grass and light malt. Easy drinking, not much too it, but a good beer to drink on a hot day Gachupines (1252) - USA - MAY 13, 2010
Pale yellow with a light white head. Aroma is very minor, maybe a little wheat. Flavor is mild, some light citrus. Overall, not too much to it, but a pleasant summer beer. Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 5, 2010
Hazy golden with a lasting white ring. Aromas of citrus, some hops, and dog. Flavor is pale wheat and a hint of citrus. Finish is fading, watery, but clean.
