Definitely has a wheat/bread taste. Flavor is mild, light. Light golden colored. Cybercat (5833) - Georgia, USA - JUL 24, 2010
Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a fine-bubbled snow white head. Yeasty, wheaty aroma has a fruity undertone, mainly banana. Crisp, wheaty, yeasty, slightly malty flavor has a hint of fruit. Fizzy, lively texture leaves a nice tingly finish. scottyshades (130) - Parkland, Florida, Florida, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Part of the "tackle box" sampler pack
A: Pours a cloudy pale straw color with a white frothy billowy head. Good retention on this one
S: Tons and tons of peach and orchard fruit (cantaloupe?) right off the bat, wheat, and an interesting yeast strain. Very subtle and delicate nose
T: Again, subtle. Tart fruits, tons of orchard fruits, wheat and that yeast again - not sure I’ve come across this one
MF/O: Light, clean finish, peachy finish, mellow carbonation giving a nice feel to it ChainGangGuy (4894) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - MAY 15, 2010
12 ounce bottle - $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a near clear, pale gold-hued body with a small-sized, white that soon peters out.
Smell: Largely smelling of tart lemon, though by no means is this a particularly pungent aroma. Also some wheat notes and a rather tenuous tone of spice.
Taste: Modest taste of malted wheat with some simple sugary flourishes. Full pinch of freshly-grated lemon zest yields some citrus character and a little bit of tartness. No more than a very, very subtle touch of hop bitterness. Equally subtle hint of spiciness. A crisp finish rife with lemon.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation along the lines of a soda.
Drinkability: Light, refreshing, drinkable -- very on-track for the humble wheat ale style. If those aren’t things you’re interested in in terms of a beer, then you’d best just steer well clear of this one. As for me, it’s a pleasant, summertime brew. On tap at Bonnaroo. Light and citrusy. Banana and bubblegum notes from the wheat with a slight but noticeable hop backing. Good and refreshing in the hot Tennessee heat. DarkSong (379) - Dacula, Georgia, USA - AUG 10, 2010
