Pours a clear golden color with a minimal head. Smells yeasty with some citrus notes. Not too much going on here, just OK. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - APR 6, 2010
12oz bottle courtesy FSUScott. Pours a cloudy yellow... super yellow. The aroma is cream and soft wheat. The flavor is soft wheat, cream, paper, and citrus... with a touch of hop bitterness. A somewhat odd combination, honestly. NachlamSie (3467) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 25, 2010
Bottle best before August 2, 2010. The more exciting thing about buying this Tackle Box is that I get some seriously fresh Sweetwater IPA. But, all in all this American styled wheat beer isn’t all that bad for a style I usually don’t like. The typical flavors of wheat and toned down fruity notes are here with very light citrus, but everything is really clean and balanced. It’s a light bodied, mild wheat ale to quench the summer thirst and is serviceable as such. But as with other American-style wheats, this lacks the strong esters or citrusy punch that a good German or Belgian wheat may have. mrmekon (100) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 10, 2010
Pours slightly orangy yellow, surprisingly clear, full white head that fades, and little lacing. Pleasing aroma, wheat, white grapes. Taste has a little sweetness, slight grape flavor, and more bitterness than expected. Not balanced that well. Light body and pretty low carbonation. Draft sample at Knoxville Brewers Jam 2010. Cloudy pale in the glass with a creamy white head that left light lace. Yeasty aroma. The flavor found a clove and lemon mix. Light body.

This brew is a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a thin white head that recedes steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat and bready malt. Light and clean body with flavors of sweet malt, wheat and a touch of yeast. Some ripe fruit in the background. The finish is short and wheaty. Just average overall. Crystal clear pale golden pour with a rather weak white head that quickly fades. Aroma of ... orange marmalade? over hints of bread and caramel. Interesting flavor ... malty in a way I wouldn’t expect for a beer this pale. Medium bodied mouthfeel with spritzy carbonation. No astringency. Nice beer. Was expecting more ’wheat’ character. Poured from 12oz. bottle into snifter.
From Sweetwater tacklebox mix pack.
Bottle: Best by 08/14/11
A: Pours a hazy yellow with a solid 1 finger bone white head. Ok retention. Lace is a splotchy down the glass.
S: Smells of citrus, slight lemons, with a wheat backbone to smooth it out. Not much else going on though.
T: Pretty bland. The unfiltered yeast comes through up front and then....yeah that’s about it. A little fruit, maybe. This is about as average as average can be.
M: Light bodied with a solid crispness and medium to high carbonation.
O: This was a very average brew. Typical run of the mill wheat ale.
