Merrifield location. Cloudy golden/yellow color. Aroma is sweet with a bit of grass. Frankly this is one of the better pilsners I’ve had in a long time (I’m not a huge fan and they usually leave a dry, unpleasant grass taste in my mouth). Perhaps it’s because it might not have been a "true to the bone" pilsner. I liked it. MullMan (1099) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - MAR 18, 2006
on tap at the sterling location. cloudy golden orangey color, thin very light tan head. aroma is a bit grassy and refined sugar malt. flavor is bitter and a little earthy, doesn’t really taste like a pils yet. some refined sugar malt appears, but faint. light bitter and grassy aftertaste. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 25, 2006
Crystal clear straw body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, some lemon, bread. Taste is medium sweet, grassy, some lemon, light bread. Medium bitterness that leaves a nice hoppy aftertaste. Clean light body with some crispness that is quite easy drinking. Paired well with the BBQ Pork sandwich. blank (996) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 8, 2004
decent german style pilsner... you expect the bad beer aftertaste, but it leaves you with a quick clean finish. if the macro’s could make this, i would be able to drink cheap beer again.... jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - AUG 17, 2003
A nice pilsener. Very light grassy aromas. Pale golden colr with a small white head. Saaz flavors dominate. Lively carbonation with a medium light body. Nice lingering metallicish aftertaste.
