Draft, Merrifield location. Pours a clear, pale golden color; bright white head with solid retention and fine-bubbled lacing; a gorgeous pour. Solid amounts of dry mineral bitterness in the aroma; yellow fruits, very nicely dry. Medium mouthfeel: tons of soft mineral and citrus bitterness; chewy yellow fruits and toasty malts; very creamy on the palate, while maintaining its dryness overall; very accomplished, surprisingly good pilsner. Lengthy finish: dry bitterness, mineral hops, and toasty malts; clean, crisp ending to a tasty beer. scraff (2125) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 19, 2008
Draft - Merrifield - Best of the bunch here in my opinion. Clear sparkling yellow, fluffy white head (great lacing). Fruity buttery florals and hints of grassiness rests on soft notes of white bread. Crisp hoppy lemony earth and touches of herbal pepper balance over soft sweet yeasty notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. A very nice rendition which is perfect for food pairing or sessions... EricE (1372) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 6, 2010
Clear yellow pour with bubbly white head. Lots of flowery and piny hops. Bitter malty grain flavor with lots of herbal and floral hops to finish. Bitter, dry and easy drinking. Fantastic pilsner and the best beer I’ve had at sweetwater. Dickinsonbeer (5073) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 4, 2011

RBSG Tasting. Nice corny, grainy pils. More hops in the flavor, unfortunately. A little too much canned corn. JoeMcPhee (10135) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 11, 2011
Sampled at RBSG Grand Rapids. Deep golden pour. Bright fresh saaz hop aroma. Crisp and clean with a bit of very chewy fresh aroma. Softly fruity and herbal. Dry but bright. The malts are a little it crackery. Light-bodied (but after that last one what wouldn’t be). The flavour doesn’t quite match the aroma, but it’s pretty nice stuff nonetheless. deyholla (12589) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 27, 2010
Sampled thanks to Ryan at the 2010 RBSG Grand Tasting. Poured a clear gold with a thin white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was a bit of pine and grass hops with some caramel and grain notes. Flavor balanced perfectly with some pine hops in the start which became grassy and melded nicely with the light caramel and grain notes. j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - AUG 25, 2010
Growler at the Grand Tasting during RBSG. Pours a clear yellow gold. Hay and big crisp lemon and grain. Crisp grain, lightly sweet. Long slow grain finish. Well done, just not for me. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Growler thanks to EricE at Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a crystal clear, bright yellow with a small, bubbly, white head. Nose is massive black peppercorn. Taste is quenching with black peppercorn explosion. Clean palate. No soap, no diacetyl. Finish is mildly lactic and fatty sourdough. Refreshing.
