Growler at the Grand Tasting during RBSG. Pours a clear yellow gold. Hay and big crisp lemon and grain. Crisp grain, lightly sweet. Long slow grain finish. Well done, just not for me. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Growler thanks to EricE at Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a crystal clear, bright yellow with a small, bubbly, white head. Nose is massive black peppercorn. Taste is quenching with black peppercorn explosion. Clean palate. No soap, no diacetyl. Finish is mildly lactic and fatty sourdough. Refreshing. radagast83 (8476) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUN 16, 2007
Merrifield location. Cloudy golden/yellow color. Aroma is sweet with a bit of grass. Frankly this is one of the better pilsners I’ve had in a long time (I’m not a huge fan and they usually leave a dry, unpleasant grass taste in my mouth). Perhaps it’s because it might not have been a "true to the bone" pilsner. I liked it. jefcon (1935) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 27, 2009
A crisp pils with a fair amount of grapefruit, lemon and herbal hops. Full nose, light palate. Even provides some lacing in the glass. The key to keeping it quaffable is balance, and there is sufficient dry malt here to give the beer some heft. sonnycheeba (6360) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 19, 2012
Draft. Pours very clear gold with thin, creamy off-white head; short retention and some lacing. Aroma is cereal malt, light sugar, and floral hops. Flavor is bread malt forward, some fruit esters, floral and earhty hops. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

Aroma of pilsener malt, sugar, light floral hops and sweet citrus.
Taste of white pepper, pilsener malt, citrus, floral hops and bread.
Medium body and medium carbonation.

Crystal clear straw body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, some lemon, bread. Taste is medium sweet, grassy, some lemon, light bread. Medium bitterness that leaves a nice hoppy aftertaste. Clean light body with some crispness that is quite easy drinking. Paired well with the BBQ Pork sandwich. Pours a nice looking clear classic golden with a smooth white heàd. Ripe banana and cream on the nose. Light smooth mouthfeel that finishes creamy. A lot of cream in the flavor. Some white grape.
